Have you upgraded to SAM 6.2?
-
You're halfway there goodzhere. Congratulations!

SNMPv1/v2 community strings and SNMPv3 credentials are associated with the node, as well as the Network Sonar Discovery profile for which they were used. There is no centrally managed SNMP string/credential management in Orion. Instead, you can use multi-edit within the Manage Nodes interface to change SNMP community…

Alex Slv, you've done an excellent job of describing what you're looking for, but could you please expand upon this to describe why you need it and what you are trying to achieve by its use? I can make some basic assumptions, but as I log this feature request I'd like to ensure that I'm capturing your use cases properly so…

Are you sure the site you are trying to monitor is http://ww.org ? Perhaps you're missing an extra "w"?
-
Most of SAMs Component Monitor types already have some type of retry mechanism built-in. In the case of some, like Windows Performance Counter, as many as three retries are made before placing the component into a "Down" state. If you have a specific component monitor type that is giving you trouble occasionally, enable…

I had a similar issue when I connected several servers to a WS-X6548-GE-TX blade. The WS-X6548-GE-TX is designed as a workstation/desktop switch module. The WS-X6548-GE-TX can handle a maximum of 6 Gbps to the back plane. There is an 8:1 over subscription as the ports are connected at gig rate, but only can supply 6 Gbps…

Dell server storage information is only available via SNMP. If the node is managed via WMI then no storage information is shown in SAM.
-
Not at all.. This is what "or" conditional groups are for in the Alert Manager.
-
Simply manage the node via WMI or Agent Then select the volumes you wish to monitor And go to the Volume Details view for that Volume.
-
The following additional macros are now available in the SAM 6.0 RC (available now) * ${USER} * ${PASSWORD} * ${PORT} * ${Node.SysName} * ${Node.Caption} * ${Node.DNS} * ${Node.ID} * ${Component.ID} * ${Component.Name} * ${Application.Id} * ${Application.Name} * ${Application.TemplateId * ${Threshold.Warning} *…

This report wasn't too difficult to recreate using Orion's web based custom Report Writer. Took at most 5 minutes (with distractions). Give it a try yourself. If you encounter problems or have questions feel free to post here.

Have you looked at the Exchange Database Availability Group template posted in the content exchange?
-
Thanks borgan, that worked great!
-
What (if anything) do you have running PowerShell against that host? I recommend you try increasing the value to "50" and open a case with support. AppInsight for Exchange should work within Windows default out-of-the-box session limit. However, we have found that those environments that were leveraging PowerShell heavily…

SAM 6.1.1 was recently released and available for download through your customer portal. I recommend upgrading and re-running the Configure Server action that's available when you edit the application for those that are already setup. If that does not resolve the issue, please open a case with support. It sounds as though…

Did you run both of the following two commands as written below on the Exchange server and wait 24 hours to see if it resolved the issue? User mailbox data is collected only once a day, so it will not update immediately. winrm set winrm/config/winrs @{MaxConcurrentUsers="30 of concurrent users"} winrm set…
-
The error is stating that you have exhausted the number of WinRM sessions allowed to that server. By default only 5 are allowed on each monitored host, but this limit can be increased easily by following the steps outlined in the KB article available at the link below. * SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: WinRM/WinRS Connection…

Separating SAM and NPM from a single combined database into their own standalone installations is a fairly simple and straightforward process. However, combining two different databases (one SAM, the other NPM) into a single database to unify the two web consoles simply isn't possible. If that's what you're attempting to…

is correct. The TCP Port Monitor in SAM mimics the same behavior as using telnet from the command line to verify a port is listening and reachable. Simply specify the TCP Port you want to monitor in the component monitor settings and assign the template to the node/s and you should be good to go.

All requests for Hardware Health device support should be posted to the Feature Request section. I would recommend posting a MIB walk as part of such a request, but it's not required.

RogerDufour wrote: Are you still looking for MIB walks? I could provide walks for 2 storage platforms (HP P2000 G3 and Hitachi AMS2500)... if so PM or email me with instructions unless they've changed from what is in here. Roger The HP P2000 G3 and Hitachi AMS2500 are storage arrays that are more likely to be supported by…

I accepted your request. Feel free to forward along your MIB walks. If you're aware of which OIDs represent the hardware health status for this device that would be extremely helpful. Thanks.

I'm sorry you are so frustrated by some of the new features to be released with SAM. We try very hard to listen to the concerns and suggestions our customers offer in order for us to make our products better. We strive to implement the features most requested by our customers. As such, a fair number of our APM standalone…

Not a problem. I PM'd you directly. Anyone else who'd like to participate but would rather send the MIB walks to me via email let me know. Your participation is the most important part. Thanks again to everyone who's participated already. Keep them coming!

do you have plans to do this type of hardware level monitoring on boxes running ESXi where this information is not available via SNMP? Yes, we currently have plans to collect hardware information from ESX hosts via CIM. This information however is standardized and easier to support and implement. We have an early beta of…

This is a known issue with the IBM Common and Platform Windows agents. They stop responding to SNMP queries after some undefined period of time. The only known resolution is to restart the SNMP Service on the monitored server. Alternatively you can change the polling method for these servers in Orion from SNMP to WMI which…

Great feedback. Bronx has forwarded the suggestions that you raised to the appropriate individuals responsible for managing and maintaining the WPM documentation so we can make this process easier for others in the future. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Verify your user settings are configured the same for your user account as the screenshot below. You may have defined a user specific custom view for Application Details or another view. You can also override the default and configure this view specifically using the drop down for any view.

Ahh.. I see the issue now clear as day. I believe the resolution to this issue is actually rather simple. It appears you have changed the default view type for one or more AppInsight for Exchange views. To resolve this issue, edit your user account (or the user where you are seeing this issue) and change all "AppInsight…
