Views are stored in the database and are not exportable at this time. Unfortunately your only recourse now for migrating a customized view from one Orion instance to another is to recreate the view on the other Orion instance.

First ensure that these counters in fact exist using Perfmon. It may be that you have a specific instance name that must be specified in the component monitors for these to be correctly monitored. Open Perfmon.exe on the APM server and connect to the remote computer. Locate the Category from the APM component monitor…

It's probably best that you start over. Remove any and all assignments of AppInsight for SQL from all nodes in the cluster. Next, ensure the cluster VIP is a WMI managed node in Orion. Click "List Resources" on the Managed VIP node details view and select the AppInsight for SQL option. Next, access the AppInsight for SQL…

My recommendation would be to use our Synthetic End User Monitor (SeUM) product which has been purpose built precisely for these types of use cases and requires absolutely zero scripting.

If you wanted to add the name of the database to the component monitors themselves you'd have to have a template for each database. The simpler method would be to add the database name to the application as pictured below.
-
There is an application template for SQL 2000 in the Content Exchange * SQL 2000 Database sizes, with Powershell
-
User notes are available within each component of an application.
-
Not if placed on the Node Details view and using macros in the URL, such as http://sharepoint.mycorp.com/serverinventory/${Caption}

These instances exist on our lab instances of Microsoft's Dynamics CRM 2011 so I'm not entirely sure why yours would be different. I would recommend opening the Windows Performance Monitor (perfmon.exe) on the CRM server and look to see if these counters have a unique instance name of if they're missing altogether. If…

The following KB from Citrix appears to walk you through the process. Citrix NetScaler - Simple HTTP Site Load Balancing

The "appwizard" referenced above can be found under "Settings -> APM Settings -> Find Processes, Services & Performance Counters"

Have you verified the credentials and that the account is not locked out? Is the node monitored from the main poller or an additional polling engine? Have you go through the WMI Troubleshooting Guide?
-
The only other method for reordering components would entail exporting the template and modifying the XML directly. You would then need to upload the changed template and apply it to your nodes. Depending upon how many changes need to be made this could be faster/easier then reordering within the template editor itself.

Can you post a screenshot of the Alert Trigger Condition as you have it defined?
-
Yes this configuration is fully supported, and is only method that is known to work. Please note that you will have to re-set the account used for the Advanced Alert Manager after upgrades or whenever the Configuration Wizard is run.

The same services that MAPI is reliant upon also need to be functioning properly for Exchange Web Services so I don't see their being a tremendous difference in the availability of one over the other. You could alternatively use the POP3 or IMAP User Experience Monitors as they are also fairly simple and straightforward to…

The certificate you're being asked to accept in Putty is for the protocol encryption. What Martin is referring to using client side certificate authentication in lieu of conventional user names and passwords to authentication via SSH. If you're being prompted for a username and password to authenticate when you SSH to the…

Yes, this would be the "Limit Series" option in the screenshot above.

How is the "camefrom" field populated? Again, without looking at the page source it's very difficult to understand how the form is constructed, or how input is handled. If the form relies on JavaScript to function then it will not work with SAM's HTTP Form Login Monitor, as the Form Login Monitor does not possess a…

The script would need to be significantly modified to search for a specific pattern like "oracle error". As the script works today it's expecting to receive a delivery confirmation email when run successfully. In your example however you want the inverse. I.E. fail only if you see this error.

Of the three resources in that view only one allows filtering at the resource level. That one being the "All Applications" resource. Neither the "Application Health Overview" or "Application Events" resource can be filtered at the resource level. These resources can only be filtered for the view which they are on using the…

The ${ComponentStatus} macro is universal and works across all component monitor types.

It looks like this node is being polled directly and not through a vCenter. We have an open enhancement request to collect storage information from ESX host polled directly. This is being tracked internally as FB103915. If this node is managed by a vCenter you can manage this node through that and see physical disk health…

Do these emails correspond to times where the application may have been unavailable? Also, there have been several fixes related to these monitors since the release of SAM 5.0.0. I would recommend you upgrade to SAM 5.5 and see if the problem persists. If it does, please open a case with support so we can investigate this…

Microsoft has made security and encryption changes between .NET versions which cause compatibility issues between two .NET application running on different systems using different .NET versions.
-
This is something we're currently working on.

We are not currently aware of any issues running SAM under Hyper-V 2012. We've performed limited internal testing thus far but everything appears to be working as it should. Also, no customer issues have been reported through support related to Hyper-V 2012. This configuration is supported should not cause issues.

The IIS certificate for the website is not stored in the database. It will need to be exported from one server and imported into the other, assuming the certificate is marked as exportable.

Some things I would recommend. Firstly I would reduce the content matching to the minimum uniquely identifiable text on the page without punctuation. For example, change "Welcome, SiteScope CDARSTwo!" to "Welcome" or "SiteScope" or "CDARSTwo". Even "SiteScope CDARSTwo" is good since it doesn't include punctuation. That's…

Attached are the default alerts you can manually re-import into the web based Alert Manager.
