This is a feature better suited for Storage Manager. SAM monitors applications and servers. As such, it does not include an SMIS monitor type required for monitoring storage arrays. this functionality can be found in SolarWinds Storage Manager.

This was implemented as part of the new template editor included in SAM 5.2

The Real-Time Processes Explorer allows you to list all processes running on the remote host by pressing the "Show All" button in the bottom left corner highlighted below. The top 10 is merely the default when it's first launched.

SAM 6.1 (recently released) supports Web Services monitoring for things such as JSON/XML and SOAP.

SAM is capable of Monitor SAP using a 3rd party SAM Extension called SAPOrion, available from Icon Software. It provides extremely robust and comprehensive SAP monitoring with SAM at what I believe to be a very reasonable price.

Application pools that are idle go into a "Not Running" state, which is not "Down". This is denoted by the blue icon rather than red, since idle is considered normal operating status for an application pool. You should not be receiving alerts for application pools in a "Not Running" state unless you've configured your…

That is correct. NTA 4.4 utilizes a new technology which is only available in MSSQL 2016 SP1 or later. This should not, however, prevent you from upgrading your other modules.

We also just posted a template for Redis

Is it possible that you're running either NPM 12.0.1 or 12.1?

All SAM jobs are weighted equally. Can you provide details for the problem you're trying to solve?

If I was a betting man, I'd say probably sometime in the future. Unless of course you're reading this post after it's already been released. Then I'd say sometime in the past.

Audit logs are retained only for 30 days (configurable under [Settings -> Polling Settings]. Is it possible the application template was assigned 31+ days ago?

That will depend upon the number a severity of bugs found during the beta process. No specific date is chosen for a release. At the risk of sounding crass, SAM 6.2 will be released when all features are fully implemented (we're at beta four, so that's already occurred) and testing by beta participants and our own internal…

That will depend upon the changes required, but it's most likely an update only to the ServiceNow App in their storefront.

It should once you refresh the page

dezz26, you should have received a beta invite email from me earlier today. If you haven't yet received it, please let me know and I will send it again.

When the Agent is installed, scripts are executed locally. Credentials provided are for impersonation purposes only if you need elevated privileges. E.G. this would be the equivalent of 'sudo'. You don't use certificates to authenticate via sudo, so you would provide a username/password.

To remove a scheduled task from being monitored simply create a subfolder off the root and move those Scheduled Tasks you don't wish to monitor into that folder. They will still continue to operate normally but will no longer be monitored by SAM's Windows Scheduled Task Monitor.

I do not believe that will work, but you can certainly try with one device and see how it goes. Typically background discovery runs only once, immediately following upgrade. So I would not expect that moving a device between engines would change what is polled on that device. I believe you have two options. * Run 'List…

You are correct that the process is not automated. I normally check a few times a day. You should have received and email from me a few minutes ago with a direct download link to beta 4. Let me know if you still haven't received it.

It is not possible to unmanage a specific component in SAM. You can however remove the warning and critical thresholds so they do not alert. That should provide the desired result.
-
The Orion Agent also provides this capability natively for both Windows and Linux alike.
-
Adding metrics in bulk or dynamically within PerfStack is not something you can do today in v1.0, but it's definitely something we're considering for a possible future release.

The Release Candidate should be in your customer portal now.
