Agent support for SQL clusters is a feature request we are tracking internally under SAM-572.
-
That value may be unique to your environment, but since this template should just work out of the box, I recommend opening a case with support so they can help you troubleshoot why these Performance Counters are not working, and what the instance name should be. I'd be interested in their findings, since this issue appears…

You just did! Hopefully in the future Thwack will have an online feature voting booth but for now it's each Product Manager's responsibility to track customer feature requests for their product/s.

Well there's no agent required. You can add a Windows Performance Counter object for the volume free space with a critical threshold less than 800MB using the Find Processes, Services and Performance Counters under Settings.

It's likely that the PowerShell script output is not formatted correctly for SAM. You may want to ask for assistance modifying your scripts output in the Script Lab Scripts Must Report Status Through Exit Codes Scripts must report their status by exiting with the appropriate exit code: Exit Code Meaning 0 Up 1 Down 2…

Well that's definitely part of your problem. SNMP is only supported for Cisco equipment. Change your connection method and transfer protocol to telnet or SSH and that should resolve your issue.

The following link includes links to download the latest version of Dell OpenManage Server Administrator * SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Latest required software used to monitor hardware health.

Something is definitely not right here. I recommend changing the view for this application back to the Default Application Details View by editing the application template as shown below. Let us know if that resolves the issue. It would also help to know if the user account you are using to view this application has any…

Not natively out-of-the-box, but you could use SAM's PowerShell Script Monitor to parse the output and alert and report upon the status and statistics generated in this report.

NPM 11.5 includes automatic dependency mapping which sounds more like what you're describing. Dependencies * Automatically calculate node-to-node dependencies based on topology connections.

Essentially yes that is correct. The client certificate itself is not saved as part of the recorded transaction but rather the reference to the correct certificate used during the recording. So in a distributed player environment you will need to import the client certificate into the keystore of the computer where the…

Please ensure that PowerShell 2.0 is enabled on the Target host. There are known compatibility issues with PowerShell 2.0 and PowerShell 3.0, which is why PowerShell 2.0 is an available open for enablement on Windows 2012. You should not receive an error from any of the steps outlined above. If you are, then that's the…

The following KB articles below should outline the minimum permissions required for a least privilege service account used for SAM polling. * SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: How to create a non-administrator user for APM polling. * SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: AppInsight for SQL Requirements and Permissions * SolarWinds…

Please try and disable the "Include Subdirectories" option and try again. The Quota Violation error you are receiving is likely coming from the WMI provider on the remote end due to either the duration of the query taking too long, or the amount of data being returned is too high. This quota can be increased at the…

Are you by chance running SAM 6.1? The critical nature of White Space was not visually represented until SAM 6.1.1. This was fixed as a bug in the Service Release. Based on the screenshot provided, it appears that your "USDB03" white space is roughly 50%, which exceeds the default out-of-the-box thresholds.

The vCenter managing that ESX host must first be added as node in Orion and "Poll for VMware" option enabled. When completed you can then go to the "Virtualization Settings", select the ESX host, and change from "Poll ESX server directly" to "Poll through vCenter".

To the best of my knowledge I believe both of these configurations are supported by NPM. But just to be sure, I recommend posting this question in the NPM forum.

The ability for Orion to use Windows Authentication to connect to the SQL database was added in NPM 12.2 and all product modules which include Core 2017.3. Windows Authentication & SSL Encryption for Orion Microsoft SQL Database connectivity

You can zoom in or out of a PerfStack chart by lassoing the chart area and clicking the [+] or [-} buttons that appear next to the selected area. PerfStack charts will not identically mirror the legacy charts as they use a completely different charting library which reduces visual noise to ensure the charted data is more…

No sir. I don't believe I marked my answer correct. I wouldn't, as I wasn't even sure I answered your question at all aside from possibly providing some troubleshooting steps. If I did however, somehow manage to mark the answer correct, that was my mistake, done in error, and I apologize.

Have you taken a look at our newly updated Oracle template for APM below?
-
Note we are working with codpet directly via case NS966051.

Yes, SAM's PowerShell Script Monitor supports remote execution and impersonation. Note: WinRM will need to be configured on the Orion server and remote host the script will execute against.
-
The DHCP User Experience Monitor included in SAM is not OS or vendor specific. I works equally well for any DHCP server, regardless of what OS it's running on.
-
So the official word from Solarwinds support is that it's not possible using any currently shipping version of Orion to poll custom MIBs on devices that are configured to use SNMPv3. Maybe I'm way off base but you'd think that would be a pretty big problem. Something you might want to have considered fixing in the ".1"…

Hmm.. sounds like these two issues may be related. Can you please open a case with support so we can determine what exactly is going on?

Unfortunately, the Linux agent does not work on Solaris at this time. We are however, working on an AIX Agent currently. In the future we may see an agent for Solaris or HP-UX.

This is really the intent behind the "All Alerts this Object can trigger" resource.

THe screenshot above shows outliers are in the 30-40k. The majority of the values collected are very low integers. Are you saying this metric should almost always be in a state of alert? Note the minimum value collected during the baseline period was 15, so where is 'bad' in relationship to this number? Also, if you…
