Did you run the SNMP Walk utility from the Orion server or from your workstation? It may be that you're encountering an issue with SNMP access control lists as cory.goodspeed suggested.
-
It does not. For tables, strings, boolean, and other value types you would need to use NPM's Universal Device Poller.

Average rates per-kWh in the US tend to range anywhere from $0.10 - $0.15. Below are two example cited references. I've never seen electrical costs as low as $0.05 per-kilowatt hour. The lowest I've personally seen in $0.08. http://michaelbluejay.com/electricity/cost.html http://www.bls.gov/ro5/aepchi.htm

By the end of today, the hotfix will be included in any new installations of Orion.

The ${N=SwisEntity;M=Caption} macro is automatically populated based upon node that triggered the alert. You are using the correct macro, but if you feel there's an issue with the macro being property translated then I suggest manually entering a static hostname to see if it's a problem with the script or with the macro…

This is still being tracked internally but has not yet been implemented.

Then I recommend opening a case with support so we can gather the necessary information from the CIM provider to determine why hard drives are missing after your upgrade to ESX 5.1. Out of curiosity, can you post a screenshot from the vSphere client of the hardware status with the Storage section expanded?

This definitely smells like permissions issue if someone has gone so far as to revoke the SA account permissions to virtually anything other than system databases. If you have a DBA I recommend working with them to validate that view only permissions have been granted to the account you are using for monitoring with…

The "Active Alerts" report type in the Report Writer only works with Basic Alerts. Not those generated from the Advanced Alert Manager. Below is a simply query you can enter into a "Custom Query" resource that will show you all nodes that have active alerts. You can change the sort method within the query itself by…

Have you upgraded to SAM 6.1.1? Also, have you tried the solution suggested by Petr Vilem above?

I'm having the same issue with NTA. displaying empty graphs when the "Printable=True" flag is set in the URL. You may want to post this question to the forum. This may be a known issue, or there may be a special trick I'm not aware of to get this working with NTA views.

How are you attempting to monitor AppInsight Applications on a node? Also, how are those nodes managed in Orion? You should never manually apply AppInsight applications to nodes like you would traditional application templates. AppInsight Applications contain intelligent discovery and can be enabled/disabled via "List…

There are some nuances related to running 64bit PowerShell through a 32bit process like the Job Engine. We hope to address these issues in the next release of APM.

designerfx wrote: It's a bit too locked down right now. Top indexes across our 100+ SQL servers all tend to go into alert at the same time and are completely suppressing our event log, and there's no way to even change the criteria. Thresholds for Index Fragmentation and Index Size can both be configured on an individual…

Seems there are multiple problems here. The following KB article should resolve the JSON Length issue. * SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Error When Exporting NPM Charts to Excel files (*.xls)

Have you tried polling these servers directly through the Virtualization Settings to see if this resolves the issue.

Can you post a screenshot of the Average CPU Load & Memory Utilization Gauges and the Disk Volumes resources?

New installs/upgrades may include an additional package within the zip file you downloaded which is the Hotfix, but we do not yet rebuild the installer itself to be inclusive of the hotfix. That is however something we are working to resolve.

When you run the Scalability Engines Installer does it return an error or does it simply not install the hotfix? Would you please post your log file from that APE located in 'C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\OrionInstaller.log'?

It's rare, but honestly I'm stumped. I cannot think of any reason why this node would not appear in the out-of-the-box Fixed Asset Inventory report. If after removing your filter this node does not re-appear in the report please open a case with support so we can dig into this further.

BigFix runs under a local system account by default, which does have adequate permissions sufficient to perform this MSI installation task without interference from UAC. If you have opted to use a named user account for that the BigFix service runs under, you will need to ensure that UAC is disabled. This is required for…

How is the node managed in Orion? This should be a WMI managed node, rather than SNMP or ICMP. Ideally the node would be managed via an Agent, but WMI will also work. How is AppInsight for IIS being applied to the node? Are you applying it no differently than any other application template, or are you enabling it via "List…

Petr (One of our Dev Guru's) has identified this as a legitimate bug. We are tracking this issue internally under FB282361.

By just seconds, but winning is winning no matter how close.

Can you please post a screenshot of what you're seeing? I took a wild guess based upon the error you mentioned, but it sounds like I may have been mistaken.

As you've described your implementation you would need three separate Orion instances, each with its own database. You could then leverage the Enterprise Operations Console if you needed a centralized console view into all the Orion instances. What Byrona suggested is what many of our customers do instead. That is, define…

So just to verify, this is not a mapped drive on the server. The storage is local to the monitored host? Out of curiosity, how long have you had this component assigned to monitor this directory size and how many files are located under this share? It takes just as long (and sometimes a little longer) to determine the size…

I don't believe so. I've gathered debug and diagnostic information for them. That is the extent of it so far. Can you tell me what type of equipment (make/model) you are polling with the custom MIB poller that is showing gaps in the data?

As suggested above, I too would recommend you try the Dynamics 4.0 templates first as they may very well work as is. At worst, you may find a few component monitors do not work. If that's the case you can either disabled these components, or use the Component Monitor Wizard in SAM or Perfmon.exe on the Dynamics server to…

SAM 6.2 (currently in beta) allows the ability to control which events to include or exclude from monitoring.
