Funny, ceige made the very a very similar request today. Though his idea was to use Network Sonar Discovery to automatically apply custom properties to nodes added based upon the Sonar Discovery Profile used.

I should have clarified that the macros I listed above are available only in the script body, not in the command line arguments field of the script component monitor.
-
Yikes! That should never happen. Is it possible the time/date on the other member was signifigatly off from the original poller? If you're in a bind, please direct message me and I will provide you with a 30 day temp key for HA.

This seems to be a duplicate of AppInsight for SQL ignore indexes below XXX pages threshold which is something we're currently working on.

What benefits would you imagine there being from using Librato graphing within Orion?
-
This was implemented in SAM 6.2.
-
Did the machine you installed the SAM beta on previously have any Orion based products installed on it? I recommend you start a thread in the Server & Applications Monitor Beta forum where there is a team of people standing by awaiting to assist beta participants with any questions or issues they encounter throughout the…

With the Prestaging and Configuration Wizard improvements made in this release, I think you'll find it takes you a fraction of the time to upgrade to 2020.2 than it did previous releases.
-
Server 2008 R2 is still supported in this release. The deprecation notification is simply stating that future releases will no longer support Windows Server 2008 R2. The same is also true of MSSQL 2008.
-
This is already possible today if those nodes are managed with an Agent. Simply go to the Agent Management page, select two or more nodes, and click 'Choose Resources'.
-
is was implemented in Core 2017.3

Understood. Also, I love your mockup. Nicely done!

Fujitsu servers may be regionally popular. To my knowledge though, they aren't very prevalent in the US. This may explain why this feature has not been voted up more than you might expect.
-
Alteration of your web.config file was not a result of installing the agent. This was likely a byproduct of upgrading to NPM v11, as running the Orion Configuration Wizard rebuilds the Orion IIS web site. This process in turn resets the web.config file back to its default configuration.
-
VMAN on Orion will benefit from this improvement, but not the VMAN appliance itself if that's still in use.

Have you reviewed the Orion Events? There should be a message there which explains the reason for the pool failing back.
-
I like the way you're thinking Keep your eyes peeled for a follow-up blog posting where I just might discuss some of those very same items.
-
Hardware events have eventtype of 514-532. After update query disables these hardware events, other events should be still active (including eventtype=5000).
-
Use 'Agent Status Message' rather than "Agent Status' which is the numerical equivalent.
-
Manilyn Ramos, this issue should be resolved in NPM 12.2

Yes, this would be plenty sufficient since the port bottleneck is not on the management system such as Orion, but on each individual managed endpoint. The only way in which that port range might not be sufficient is if you had a dozen or so management solutions all polling the same endpoint via WMI.

Allowing for additional SAM specific macros to be used in Network Atlas mouse hover tool tips is a feature request I'm tracking internally under FB255197.
-
No, what you're trying to accomplish with automatic mapping of dependencies does not yet exist within the product. I just wanted make sure I understood fully what it was you were looking for.
-
If you know you'll be migrating a physical server to virtual then I recommend disabling hardware health monitoring via "List Resources" before the migration occurs. This will eliminate the need for making database changes. This in no way makes this feature request any less valid, but I wanted you to be aware of whatever…
-
That is correct.
-
Can you clarify what you mean by "aggregate charts"? Perhaps a screenshot would help clarify precisely what you're referring to.
-
Included in Orion Platform 2018.4.

, I sent you a beta email notification on May 30th at 1:37PM CST. I am sending another right now. Please let me know if you don't receive it.
