This is only available on Orion Platform 2018.2 or later which is included with NPM 12.3.

Expert Knowledge in the Description field, and User Notes have been added to the Component Details view in the latest SAM 5.2 Beta. If you're an existing APM/SAM customer under active maintenance you can sign-up here to participate in the beta. We'd love to get your feedback on this feature. To learn more about what's new…

Have you looked at the Orion SDK? Several of the items you listed above can be accomplished using scripting languages such as PowerShell.

I would recommend restarting the Orion services to see if that spurs a re-polling of the warranty information. If that doesn't produce the desired effect, click "Poll-now" on the Asset Inventory subview. This should force a query to the vendors web service for that specific node. Note that both HTTP and HTTPS protocols are…

If I was a betting man, I'd say probably sometime in the future. Unless of course you're reading this post after it's already been released. Then I'd say sometime in the past.

That is not related to SNMP (or a lack thereof). For instance if you monitoring this node via WMI or ICMP than the TopXX conversations resource from NTA should still function normally. It's possible however that the agent is misidentifying the servers IP address, which is preventing NTA from associating the flow related…

This is already available today using the Desktop Notification tool > NPM v11.5 - Desktop Notification Tool Alert Sounds - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support

designerfx wrote: I find myself constantly asking to want more options to customize the hover details. I know I've spoken with meech and jreves about it at times for NTA, but this is another example. I wonder if it's waiting on the UI redesign. What specifically would you like to see added to the hovers?

The following examplle report should get you started.

Mike Driskell, I'm not entirely sure I completely understand your use case. Are you saying that if a service is down, and if that service is restarted automatically and verified "up" on the subsequent poll you would like the ability to squelch that alert notification, as well as the writing of the event to the Orion event…

That too is configurable by configuring the sample interval of the chart.

We have included a new Hardware Health Summary resource in the recently released SAM 5.2 beta. If you'd like to check it out I'd recommend signing up to participate in the beta here.

What exactly is meant by the 'Node Dialog' window? Can you provide a screenshot?
-
This is already possible today in SAM 6.2

I'm glad you enjoyed the read ecklerwr1. My only disappointment was I was unable to find a screenshot of the horrid Compatability Matrix. That would have been a great blast from the past and would have reminded everyone just how hard things used to be.

Additional Polling Engines will not function properly if they are not running the same version as the main Orion Server.

Is the database configured to auto-grow until it runs out of space on the volume, auto-grow up to a maximum size, or is it a fixed size database that can be manually grown?
-
Not automatically, but you could certainly write a SQL query that would remove volumes that have been in an unknown state for longer than "X" number of days.
-
The process is a little convoluted. You first need to define the data source as SWQL or SQL and write your query, excluding the filter by node. Add the X/Y axis to the chart based upon the query you defined, ensuring that you select the appropriate time source along the way. When you are done you should have a fully…

Additional Web Servers are fully HA aware. A failure of your primary/active polling engine will not cause your Additional Web Server to cease functioning, provided you have a secondary/backup main poller to become active when the primary fails.
-
You can change the IP address associated with the node by editing the node properties and clicking "Select IP" and choosing the primary IP address associated with that node. This *should* resolve the association problems you're seeeing with NTA.

Thank you @"dhinagar_j". I have logged this as a feature request and am tracking it internally under CORE-14256.

Does User Auditing of SAM Configuration Changes and Remediation Actions mean if you provide other members administrative privileges in SAM you can see exactly what they have changed or done to the setup? Yes, that's essentially what we're aiming towards.
-
What do you mean exactly by "Custom Application Monitors"?
-
Ideally this would be a virtual machine you could revert to a snapshot taken prior to the installation of any Orion modules. If that's not possible, you will at a minimum need to uninstall all items related to Orion from the machine and start with a new clean database for the beta. You will also need to reply to the beta…

Correct. Only scheduled tasks that are at the root are monitored by SAM.

Which alerts in particular became re-enabled after upgrade? Alerts which are deleted will be recreated with their default configuration whenever the Configuration Wizard is run. However, if you've modified an alert, such as in the case of disabling it, upgrading or re-running the Configuration Wizard should not re-enable…
