May I have a question here ... how actual should be the MAC to Vendor look-up database? The daily updated version in text format is here: http://standards.ieee.org/develop/regauth/oui/oui.txt As I look at coffer.com, there is pretty old version of Organizationally Unique Identifier (OUI) database: Database last updated:…

Hi Joubin, Can you please create support tickets for this issue? Ondrej Hruska, IPAM Dev. Team

The decision not to delete scopes that no longer exist in DHCP was mostly done to keep custom data in i.e. custom fields of scopes. When IPAM will delete scope, all the manually entered data will be lost ... and you know what will follows :) It's very good idea to rise alert once the missing scope was detected on DHCP…

Hi michiganlaz, The button "Assign IPs to Existing Subnets" do exactly what the name is: Assigning the orphaned IP addresses into existing subnets in IPAM; if they fits into subnet's range and IP addresses do not already exist in subnet. While IPAM works correctly (no crash or power outage during Add/Remove subnet and it's…

As Mav mention we use SNMP to pull this information and the device must support it. Therefore we first check if the device is capable of SNMP and supports ARP table: To check whether the SNMP is available we use: OidSysContact "1.3.6.1.2.1.1.4.0" iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.system.sysContact.0 To check whether the ARP…

If you need to fill missing IP addresses you can use "Add IP range" functionality and just enter starting and ending IP address of subnet. It will put there missing IP addresses from desired range. May I ask how you create subnets? Were they created automatically when DHCP server was added or did you use subnet allocation…

Make sure you have set correct state for "Enable Duplicated Subnets" checkbox in IPAM Settings > System Setting.

Right now there is just global setting to change of SNMP and neighbor scanning timeout (SNMP Timeout).

Hi BrandNSP, The problem can be connected with SolarWinds JobEngine service. You can check the status by OrionServiceManager. If it is not working after upgrade to NPM 10.2 please start it (and all other services which may be down). When the job engine is running, please open up a support ticket and we can help you to fix…

As you write in another thread, you use IPAM version 1.6.0. Recommendation is to upgrade to the latest version (1.7). You should find this in your customer portal. In latest IPAM 1.7 version the search is nicely updated and search page works fine (including paging, sorting, etc..)

The historical info resources shows changes in IP, hostname or state. When no changes are detected during the scan, then there are no records in historical info resource. Regarding the minor bug with Solarwinds tabs no function on IP Address details page: What kind of browser are you using? Did the browser shows errors?…

Hi Dan, The IPAM uses the SNMP credentials as “ordered” list and try to connect to device on monitored IP address. If first fails to connect then try second one, etc.. Therefore it is expected that users will set all credentials and possible combinations of types of SNMP credentials in desired order (in your case v2 before…

Hi jmosh, When you delete scopes form DHCP server, they should appear as unreachable after next scan. The scope '/24' which merges both previous '/25' scopes acts like a new scope (from IPAM’s point of view). This “new” scope can be found after successful scan in list of found scopes: DHCP & DNS Management -> scopes tab…

The scopes aren't deleted from IPAM. They should be deleted manually. NOTE: Please set correct state for "Remove corresponding subnets" checkbox in subnet deletion dialog.

Hi markegan2008, I'm not sure which version of IPAM do you use, but we do an improvement of search performance in latest IPAM 3.1. Unlikely the "no IP address found" message you see is most likely connected with timeout of search query. If you can try uncheck all other search options except IP address option itself and do…

Hello chmcasmartin, This is a nice solution, but not a complete one, because it miss some tables as described in original post (for DNS, Custom fields, ...) As this solution does not migrate whole database, it lost connection between Orion node and DHCP server in IPAM. Therefore, now when the node (where the DHCP server…

Hi JonG, Thank you for your point here. We think that is a good idea for a new feature. Let me create the request. EDIT: A feature request is opened.(Request #191758) Thank you, Ondrej Hruska IPAM Dev Team

Hi JonG, I don know if I fully understand the question… You want to show all custom properties on the IP address grid or networks grid in ”Manage Subnets and IP Addresses” page. The Question is that you want to show these custom fields directly after adding the new custom field? * The custom field is visible as the last…
