However, it’s worth noting that I previously opened a ticket with Fortinet to understand what this Client ID is, which SolarWinds requires to integrate the FortiManager orchestrator. They told me it’s outdated and no longer in use. For the API, I only need the login and password.

Apparently yes, I just closed a ticket with SolarWinds support. After a lot of back-and-forth, they finally confirmed that the proposed solution is only supported for the cloud version.
