BTW, I just created a local test account (non-AD) and was able to authenticate with SWQL Studio. So it seems to be an AD authentication issue.

I'll answer your questions in reverse order. We have a central PKI internally and both my laptop and the server are using certs issued from a CA in that environment. In my case, when I run the query the SID is populated with the correct SID. I'm still at a loss here as to why I'm getting an authentication error. I log into the web GUI everyday, my account is an AD account under a Windows Group that has admin rights.

This was the answer for me. Now if I can figure out how to use this along with still being able to use the mouse to move the map around.
