Agreed. I've been holding off on deploying EOC until the security model is changed from domain only. My EOC server lives in a datacenter where I can not join to my corporate domain.

I find the IIS APM template in the latest version of APM pretty useful. It exposes some of the key WMI perf counters specific to IIS (ie Current connections, requests\sec, bytes sent\rec / sec, etc)

Miron, many of us also have Big IP devices and have had some luck using custom pollers to monitor F5 Devices. have a look under the content exchange area and you can download custom UnP templates. These pollers query the MIBs for VS info, pool info, Pool health, CPU, memory, etc

forgot to mention. i've kept the APM in place, but modified the APM advanced alert to exclude the "SQL Server 2005" template from alerting. I can walk you through further if needed.
