  • Actually, custom fields are searchable, but it's pretty slow. I might try adding an index to the column. I really would like to be able to limit the search by type (supernet, subnet, group, etc). What I'm really looking for is being able to quickly filter results in the grid, AND do in-cell editing as needed. The web…
  • The IPAM search does not search custom fields. I have not found it useful. We have thousands of subnets assigned out of our class B address block. We also have several other assigned class C’s. Sort is better than nothing, but practically worthless with this many subnets. I need a way to quickly determine which subnets are…
  • Bump to the top. Time to take this off the" promise" list.
  • Since we have unlimited addresses, it doesn't affect us, but I'd rather see a new state defined for the network and broadcast addresses. They are a special case.
  • Pretty much yes. I'd have to go page after page, 200 at a time, then on to the next subnet...It makes more sense to set a default and then be able to turn scanning on individually, without having to change the setting for thousands of subnets to off before turning on scanning globally to just to scan a few subnets. I can't…
  • Please add my vote for this feature. Think about adding a simple table to identify private AS assignment while you're at it. Thanks, Mike
  • Mav, What I'd like to see is the ability to scan only specific subnets without having to turn scanning on globally. With thousands of subnets, it's not practical to turn on scanning globally and then turn off scanning on each individual subnet. Mike
  •  Followed the MSDN document. Same results. Any help?
  • We use Service Now and are looking for a way to provide status (Up, Down, etc) to matching items in the CMDB.

  • Epenney - Those are all good suggestions, and we actually follow almost all of them almost all of the time. I think we're pretty well provisioned. Migrating to Solarwinds was a big deal and we put the resources behind it. I agree with your "honking SQL" comment. We had a lot of trouble after we moved from the test phase…
  • Got your e-mail, called and left you a message.
  • Makes a lot of sense. I'd use it to keep my single poller happy. Once a month or less would be more than adequate for static data.
  • I get a message: Unable to open connection to ssh Host does not exist. Telnet works, but not ssh and Putty.
  • Mav - How about filtering for each column in the grid? Sure would make life better if I could filter the grid on partial matches in description and custom attributescolumns. The UI is really challenging for large numbers of subnets. Please! Have the grid hold its position when you edit an entry. Imagine having to walk back…
  • Mav, If you'd like to see our spreadsheet-based manager, I'd be happy to set up a web meeting. We track simple detail: Network, Mask, CIDR, Description, Owner's Group, Owner's Sub-group . It seems a shame that I can't import this information. We have over 2,000 subnets in 3 public networks and the private address space.…
  • I set up an alert in the syslog viewer to do the job: Rule name: Syslog BGP Session alert Message Type Pattern: BGP-5-ADJCHANGE Syslog Message pattern: * Severity/Facility: All Alert Action: Send email/page Message subject line: Syslog Message from ${Node.Caption}: BGP Session Change Message: ${DateTime} : ${MESSAGETYPE}…
  • Once I used the ${nodes.tcon_mail} format it worked. Thanks.
