I understand and feel your pain with needing the right solution for your "NMS". It's something that we all try to achieve even if it's only a small part of our duties or our teams duties. But I have to say I haven't had a pager since 2001 and can't relate in that area. I do get the calls in the middle of the night though…

I'm also involved with this issue at our company and can verify what Jon is saying here. The error is still occuring and we attempted more testing than our time allows. This should have been caught during testing or whatever the process is for QA before release.

Thank you very much Denny!

I'm surprised no one has answered you, maybe it feels futile to even suggest a top 3 for some. Or it could be that were just a smaller community and don't really check back that often. I see repeats of the same requests and never see them in the top priority's, whats that about. 1. Reports (they need to come together to…

Martin, the issue is that I can not connect to the EOC 1.3 RC6 with NA 1.5.xx. Since our company uses EOC with NPM and has maps on both systems we have an issue. EOC 1.3 does not complete the login process while using NA 1.5.xx but does complete the process with 1.4.xx NPM 10.1.2 does not complete the login process with…

Denny, thanks for your reply on this but before we made our purchace of more NPM SLX this year we could see a view that showed ALL polling engine sync times. That is what I'm looking for, the ability to know the sync times to all my polling engines in EOC not just the NPM servers. I don't believe that the answer to my…

Curious, if you double-click on the "Error on page", what kind of error message comes up? Below are a few of the sample errors, but there are thousands with just a fresh browser opened and just a couple of attempts to click the plus sign: Webpage Script Errors User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1;…

The plan is to add support for Windows and AD groups. I know I added my comments earlier about groups, but I want to add that not only groups for the EOC but when setting up groups of users I can add my regional default user id / password for the NPM pass-through as one group, this way I don't have to go in and edit every…

Can you make sure, if you already haven't, that you provide Tech Support a screenshot, showing what you click that won't let you proceed further? It will help us not guess at what you're saying here. This was provided through leapfile along with two diagnostics uploads.

I'm was also struggling with this issue on full version 10.1.2 SLX NPM with Admin accounts. Stops an admin from adding nodes, viewing the poller engines status to name a couple of problems this it causes. So, I ran the OrionPermissionChecker.exe and found that two of the locations were having issues and FAILED. I ran the…

Natalja, I verified again today as well as my inital testing that EOC 1.3 RC6 will not completely load Network Atlas 1.5 but does completely load Network Atlas 1.4 correctly. So it is NOT compatible.

Okay, so if it's only showing the main NPM Orion server, how will I know the health of the extra polling engine. I had a problem with my additional polling engine due to another application on the server, the EOC did not alert to the health of that engine or at the least it couldn't show my admins that there was any time…

No, this is for when your building the report. So, here is a screenshot to help understand, SWQL is selected by default but SQL is grey and can not be selected without administrator privledges.

The compatibility mode doesn't change the issue. Above is the screen where I had attempted to open the plus sign next to "AM". Notice the "Error on page" that comes up when I try to use the plus sign. At that point I had to refresh. My mouse opened the listing to one that doesn't have anything but nodes without issue but…

This is something that we have experienced as well. There have been three things that we have done to correct the issue. 1. Created a ticket and worked with SW on this issue, the timeout function was push out from the standard MS setting up to 6 minutes. 2. We have over 3200 nodes with over 20,000 elements that we are…

I know there may not be a lot of people who use this feature but I have several report building personnel at my company and need SQL ability since they don't understand SWQL. This seems to be a bug and not a feature since we can't find documentation about this requirement. Can we get confirmation on this from SW?

The AD groups would solve my problems, and I would only have to work on dealing with one off special cases where views or menus are customized beyond what would be offered to those groups. The AD setup would work all the way around for EOC and NPM servers that I have. I want to add that I do have various apps that use AD…

I noticed the tool has been released on the customer portal in additional components for NPM. Make sure you grab the second link of the two that look to be the import tool. "Orion-to-EOC Network Atlas Map Conversion Utility" That is the correct tool for the import of NPM to EOC.

Just a quick update if anyone else is faced with this issue. I don't think anyone is, otherwise you would be replying to this but I have created a ticket with Solarwinds and yesterday it was escalated. Since the exact cause has has not been identified I will not say that this is exactly as the title of the threat suggests.…

BB, try making a map with other shapes or icons (not LED's), do you have the same outcome as with the green LED's? Or do your icon not show on the maps in the website but you get squares representing the icon locations.

Nevermind, it's a system program built into our server loads that are recording issues with the Business Layer Host. At least, that is what I believe it to be now.
