I would really love to see this feature in the Network Atlas. We have tons of carrier connections coming in and out of our datacenters, this would make monitoring those links more feasible. Not to mention if Cacti can accomplish this, I think SolarWinds should be able to handle this with relative ease. Pretty please with…

You guys just made my Monday morning with this news. I am so excited to see F5 GTM's and Cisco Stacks supported, however I do agree if you are doing Cisco stacks you may as well do Juniper too. Thank you so much for this great news Dev Teams!!!!!
-
Come on SolarWinds!!!! This feature should be uber simple for your dev team to implement without so much as needing to have a meeting to discuss it. Don't get me wrong, the improvements we've seen lately have been epic but this has been requested many times over the years. @rob.hock A little help here?????

This is perfect, thank you so much

That's what I plan on doing today, been a busy week or it would have been done sooner As a side note, the jobs I created to run are for show commands on a Cisco ASA and the output of the command is rather lengthy. Makes me wonder if NCM is having issues with the number of lines coming from a single command.

I am really looking for the historical, showing the triggered, cleared and alert emails from what used to be the AlertLog table but is now the AlertHistory table, while including ACTIONTYPE, ALERTNAME and MESSAGE. Going to see if I can replace AlertActive with AlertHistory and pull down what I am looking for, then report…

Thank you so much for the reply. I knew I was on the right track but couldn't find any docs on it. Glad I wasn't too far off there and will report the results once it's complete. Thanks

I am seeing this same issue and it's causing me tons of trouble due to the fact that our NOC engineers don't know if SolarWinds is reporting correctly. Does anyone know if this was resolved in NPM v11 and the upcoming v11.5 RC? I currently have a feature request opened with the dev team and support(#746591) to resolve this…

Thank you so much! All is well now, much appreciated.

Thanks Michael!!!! Didn't even think to look there...Knowing is half the battle. After several years of working with Solarwinds, this is the first time I have needed to use reports. I am learning some massive lessons right now.

We are currently running NPM v11.5.1 and NCM v7.2.2, the reason I posted the link is the similarity in behaviors but should have specified the correct version. Sorry about the confusion.

I am probably asking a really dumb question here but I not a SQL admin by any means so here goes....Do you have to stop Orion Services to get a valid DB backup? Also as a best practice, what features in sql 2k8 server standard r2 need to be installed with core SQL? Thanks again for all your help!!!
-
Thanks a bunch pacetti!!! I figured it would go along the lines you pointed out but wanted to make sure b/c this would be my first time attempting something like this with SW. I will update with my progress.
-
The only way I was able to resolve my issue was to upgrade to NPM v11.5.1 after many support calls and gotomeetings.

Support Ticket # 773972 to investigate the issue. Thanks for the support, Rob. **Update** Out of curiosity, I logged into the primary polling engine's web console to see if managing views was possible from there as opposed to using the addition web server console. I was able to manage the views on the primary polling…

Thank you for the link!!! I had actually just figured out that if you edit the interface from the Node Management page that it would stick no matter what. We are planning an upgrade to 10.2 in the next week so I will post back up and let you know if the upgrade remedies my issue. Thanks again!

Thanks michalB!!! The IP SLA option is something we are looking into but we need something to run traceroutes on inside and outside addresses, url's, etc...not really to devices. Currently we are using pingplotter to handle this job but we are trying to get rid of it b/c it is a pain to add new entries. I really appreciate…

I didn't get a chance to restart the SNMP agents on any servers this morning, I will in the morning as long as we don't end up busy again. Thanks for the reply shaggyva!
-
The majority of these events are coming from virtual NIC's so I am wondering if it's not an issue with the way NPM collects SNMP data from r2 servers. It could also be the way the r2 sends SNMP data too. I am going to see if I can restart the service on one of the less critical servers this morning in hopes it will fix the…

That's exactly my thought b/c I am completely lost with this one.....Thanks for the help Steven! **EDIT** After opening a ticket with SolarWinds support, the fix for this issue was to run the Advanced Alert Manager as Administrator.

Bumping this up to the top for some visibility. Can anyone off any assistance here? Thanks
-
Come on, there has to have been someone that's installed this with the latest version of NPM......anyone used this with NPM 10.7+ yet?
-
Out of curiosity, has anyone tested this with NPM v10.7 yet? I would really like to implement this into my environment and want to make sure it will work before committing to the change. Excellent work either way, Gob!!!!!

Monday morning bump......Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Answered the question myself....the inclusion of NodeID 1049 into the list was causing a false alert from this device b/c it doesn't use SSL. I ended up using the logic in the attached screenshot to get the job done and it's seemingly alerting the way I intended. Are there any items in this alert that I should change or…
