  • FUMBLE!!!!!!!!! LOOSE BALL!!!!! JUMP ON IT!!!!!!! So if anyone cares to post what code they have I'm sure myself and others would like to continue on with this development. Thanks!
  • As usual Guru you come through! I feel justified in my complaining! Wow 4.5 years to get a resolution to common complaint! Micro$oft tech support has been dethroned! Congrats SW! OK enough stone busting... Looks like they may have had it fixed once before but what happened? I feel like we're close to seeing a…
  • Obviously I never noticed the hover over part, neat but just as time consuming as "almost downloading" to check versions. But it would be great if we could just quickly eyeball what is exactly in the directory, at least until Orion comes as a all in one package with an auto updater (hint, hint)! I know I'm not the only one…
  • Gentlemen thank you for the help!!! I combined the generous information provided above and the results were better then I expected. Posted below is the full code just save this as "C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds\NetPerfMon\Resources\1-1-SummaryReports\DownNodes.resource:" and remember to backup first...just in case.....…
  • Extremely useful information Vic! Thank you for the detail and time in your response!
  • Thanks Mark I'll see what I can dredge up from SNMP.
  • I concur with Marks suggestion IF the information appears to be old data. I had numerous old records that we're not purged. However after following the suggestions for the link he provided, I was still amassing massive netflow records (200GB) in very short order. My system had been rebuilt (needlessly) while I was out of…
  • Strange I had actually commented on my orignal post that I saw the fix had been implemented in SP3. Hence the 2 down ref. I highlighted my remark for easier ref. Thanks
  •  I agree unless you have a lot of time and a GPS the Google method is more of a headache currently. Yes I would like to see more of it but Mapmaker is incredibly quick and easy to layer maps on that reflect sub level map/device status.
  • OK somehow I fixed it. The association appears to be locked in with the image. I backed up the map with issues then I cleared the background and saved. Then I opened a huge full color image of a colleague as the background and saved. I verifed via the web that the map was now displaying full color. I then set the…
  •  Your problem sounds exactly like the one I encountered. Repatch ALL of your modules and that should fix it.
  • I believe that's close to what I'm looking for. Does the resource on the home page correlate with a down node or is it all together a seperate information field? Thanks Ron
  • Yes I agree with the cause but is there a way to "uninherit" this problem? I've tried recreating the map via renaming and the problem follows it. The maps were custom built and any form of them I use show up as full color in mapmaker but lose everything on the web site. Weeks of work are inchs from the trash at this moment…
  • That is the manual I reference as being "incomplete" as it obviously omits the default strings in the the default alert notifcation. If those 4 where missed (but included under Syslog) is it possible there are undocumented strings? Thanks
  • Thanks for sharing.....
  • Gracis qle! That's all I needed to resolve my issue regarding notification. 2 down 1 to go!
  • 1) Configure your router to support SNMP traps to Orion 2) Set your Node to monitor the ISDN BRI interface (add the BRI interface to be polled). 3) Use the Universal Poller and setup the Poller designed by daxvancamp (much thanks dax) IsdnBearerOperStatus.UnDP Download the poller and save it to your server. Open Universal…
  • Since no one else has jumped at this I will post the cause and solution. I did not mention that I could not manipulate the data from the Data Base Manager on the App server. Running Orion with a seperate SQL 2005 server, the DB Manager tools do not have complete access to the SQL server for managment purposes. The DB…
