One way to do this would be to add an Email Report Publisher and mail yourself one of your Configurable Reports once a day. If you receive the System Status report at the reporting time, ipMonitor is working. If you don't, then you might have a problem somewhere. Does this help?

Firewall setting in the VM? You need port tcp/17777 open between Orion EOC and Orion NPM. Also, have you updated Orion EOC 1.2 to service pack 2? It's a required download for Orion EOC to become completely NPM 10.1 compatible. This service pack should be in your customer support portal.

Also, "Guest Status" is the Solarwinds status of the VM node (up, down, and so on). In my opinion, the terminology in the pop-up text can be interpreted in too many ways, so I've asked our dev team to have a look at revising this in the future.
