I'd like to bump this issue up the list. Having the ability to create a sub-subcategory would be tremendously beneficial for our organization. Perhaps the most beneficial portion of a change like this will be for reporting.

While using the dynamic form rules will allow a floating field and visually look like a third category the issue is that the field is not a fixed dynamically populated field. This means that for reports they must all be created individually.

The other scenario where this could be applied is major outage. Other platforms leverage a concept called Major Incident for this purpose.
