i cant post the compare but its basically the certificate in blocks of characters in hexadecimal

Hi Jeremy, I think you misunderstood the problem, unmanaging via the task scheduler is the same thing as a normal unmanage... statistics don't get collected anymore and you do not see if the application is really already up, if you manage it again before the maintenance window is over, the downtime goes into the statistics.
-
We have a few problems with that... 1.) a political one: We bought Orion to get rid of Kiwi ;-) 2.) we dont even have maintenance on Kiwi anymore. 3.) This is stuff that should work, period. We were told that everything Kiwi CatTools and KiwiSyslog can do, can be done with NPM and NCM... Now seeing that the NPM syslog is…

great to hear, thought that I have seen this on some roadmap before but we're still stuck on 10.4 currently, a reason to upgrade soon =)
-
I do, thanks :) Well except of putting it into a graph and hiding the report on the nodes page if the custom poller is not assigned to that node... :(
-
Actually we have the HSE, we just havent deployed it yet because we havent been able to get our main Orion server to run stable just yet. We will buy another Server (btw, are blade servers supported?) for the HSE once Orion runs well. Btw, my managers are really wanting to have a HSE that covers all modules, basically a…

yea, multiple IPs for a single node is something we are missing as well! also hope that network discovery has been fixed in 10.2 but I will see.. :P
-
you can use the "Manage Nodes"-feature in the web-ui and just delete the volumes/interfaces you want to delete
-
www.solarwinds.com/.../serviceticket.aspx ;-)
-
I agree but you cannot differ the discards on interfaces with ACLs in Orion.
-
yea, something like that would be very useful for alerting... that way alarms dont have to be touched that much... just put the templates in certain categories and your done...
-
I reported this over a year ago and was told this would be fixed in the next release... ;-) This was back when the graph was still "old-style".
-
the thing with the none/not all came to mind as well but I was thinking that it would not give false alerts but instead not alert at all which is why I didnt mention it. I already had a discussion about this here on the forums and according to the outcome of the discussion which was verified by mcbridea, the "none" should…

looks like a rounding error or something... anyhow... just cosmetics... as you already have a case open I would mention it in the case and ask for a solution. post it here if you get a solution
-
thanks =) dunno why i never came across it :P

same issue here... :-\

I just tried it with our file age monitors, setting it to 0.1minutes works just fine, it results to 6minutes, which is just a bit longer than a standard poll, making it the perfect time to monitor with APM. only downside is, if someone changes it again within the 6minutes, the alert only resets later but you dont get…
-
it keeps changing the way it handles the date format. If I put the script into a vbs file and let it run in a loop, this does not occur.
-
Hey, then yes you will need to create a script for this and I don't know a script you could use but maybe google will help you there. Powershell should be able to create an object of a browser which you could then use to measure the response time. you would have to use google to find out how to do this exactly (I am no…

it does not seem to be a rollover problem... we got this error for an alert that lasted 12minutes but not for an alert that rolled over... however an alert that lasted for more than 6weeks shows only the hours (6h42mins) whether it works or doesn't seems to be totally random for me
-
it did go to the next day, yes... All alerts I checked today seemed to have this behaviour, I'll check tomorrow and see if alerts resetting on the same day work fine PS: i am on APM 4.0.2 and NPM v10.1.2
-
no, i didnt mean which user is logged in... I actually meant the exact same thing that is already implemented, except also for nodes that are not implemented in orion (I wouldnt want to monitor every single phone and PC...)
-
Hi AMidnightSoul, while you are correct, this is a registry setting, this can be accessed easier: Open Advanced Alert Manager, click on active alerts and on the top right corner you have a checkbox that says to disable all alert actions, if it is checked, no emails will be sent (no other actions will be performed either).…
-
well, I can offer you my report from which you could start working with some sql knowledge to modify it so it fits your needs.
-
I admit, if there are a whole lot of reports that need to be sent, it is cumbersome to create a view for each report (we create views and name them "Report View - reportname") and send those views as pdf... but it works... it could be moved to the report writer which (as we noted several times) should be enhanced in…
-
which requirements? i dont understand the problem... do you already use Orion? you would need to monitor those interfaces and create an alarm for the interface if you like
-
Thanks Jason =) btw, why do you need a separate webserver for this? can you not use the orion webserver for this?
-
it does run alert checks, new alerts still appear but their actions are "delayed" and if cleared by the time the box is unchecked, they are not sent at all, at least judging from our experience :-)
-
I cannot seem to be able to edit the previous post... I was wondering if it is planned to also be able to alert on EVA (storage) events...

we are using production AD server users and groups. I was able to add the group but it didnt work, users in that group were not able to log in. when support checked the logs, the above mentioned error was found. I have a ticket open for this, ticket number is Case #203351
