Hi comunic_ifap, as far as I know, your NPM will work fine even your maintenance is over but you will not be able to upgrade to newer version. Cheers, Pavel

Hi svindler, I dont think we poll serial number of thin AP's. All information about AP is polled from the controller itself. You could poll serial number directly from the AP if it was added to NPM as SNMP node. Cheers, Pavel

Hi Michael, I am affraid that you can not easily create alert related to two different interfaces. Conditions used as you posted mean that interface has name xxx and admin status zz and name yyy and oper status fff. All conditions must be related to one interface only at the time of verifying. Regards, Pavel

Hi bluefunelemental, what version of NPM do you use and what is the OID you are looking for? Hardware health monitoring uses Cisco-Entity-Mib, Cisco-Entity-Sensor-Mib and Cisco-Envmon-Mib and is supported from NPM 10.4. Cheers, Pavel

Hi blue0o0, can you post a picture of your problem plus version of NPM you are running on, please? As we are supporting Japanese and German localization it might happen that some of the strings are wrongly mapped and appears in the product. Double check your OS and DB locales are EN. Also check that your primary locales in…

Hi ncsisnet, unfortunatelly there is no easy way to set up alert like this, bacuse this functionality is not directly supported. You could do it via custom pollers and custom node table pollers alert variables but it would need quite a lot of investigation and manual work. Anyway you can request this as new feature here:…

Hi ttl, this means that the interface description is not defined for this interface type. There are various interface types grouped under this blank description. The interface was normaly discovered and will be polled properly, it has blank description only. Cheers, Pavel

Hi adjolley, by demo version of Orion, do you mean Orion installed in Evaluation period? Cheers, Pavel
-
Hi jobuu, Do you use the transformed poller under the trigger conditions? If youes, it should work properly. Idealy put ${AssignmentName} into the syslog message so you will see which poller triggered your alert. Cheers, Pavel

Hi mnpuckett, unfortunately this is a limitation in NPM that if an user has rights to launch network discovery he has also rights to see all SNMP credentials through discovery profiles or account limitations. You only can create a feature request here. Thanks, Pavel

Hi shawn_b, to your first problem, there are two ways how it can be solved. 1) use the "Do not trigger this action until condition exists for more than" condition. Just convert 2 moths into hours. This will delay the action for the time period from the point when the alert is triggered. It has one disadvantage and that you…

Hi Lily, yes, you can re-add nodes which were monitored before. You will not see previously polled data. You can also use previously used discovery profile which should make re-adding easier. If your discovery doesn't find those nodes check if they are not added into the ignore list and they are accessible from the orion…

Hi, you can if it responds to SNMP. If Table is polled, you can see the admin or protocol status on that interface. Cheers, Pavel

Hi george29, this depends on the type/manufacturer of the AP (we use different pollers for various AP's). So if you can provide SNMP walk from your device we should be able to tell you set of OIDs used for polling those information. Thanks, Pavel

Hi rob_ib, would it be possible to see screenshot of those graphs? It would help us to investigate the issue a bit. Thanks, Pavel
-
Guys, I would suggest you to open a ticket for that issue because this is suppose to be working properly and the easiest way to solve it is via support ticket. Thanks, Pavel

I am not able to reproduce your problem and even with Flash 10 installed (partialy deleted) update finishes successfuly. Anyway, if the flash 10 was installed from msi via Patch Manager you should be able to uninstall it via Patch Manager. If not you will probably need to uninstall the old corrupted flash manually. Thanks,…

Hi ">grandgroove, I tried the update from 11.4.402.287 to 11.5.502.110 (EXE to MSI) and it passed smoothly. I will try to simulate your problem with flash player 10 later but this issue seems like native behavior of the flash player installer and it probably is not related to the package or Patch Manager itself. Flash…

Hi John, your problem is known issue introduced in 10.2 by implementation of new discovery framework and has nothing to do with Juniper device. It is reproducible for most devices with huge number of interfaces (around 1000). Developers are working on the fix so it should be fixed in future release. Actually there are…

Hi dpatzold1979, This will need some investigation and I am affraid we won't be able to provide you satisfying answer according your description only. So I can only suggest you to create a support ticked and attach diagnostics from the environment where this happend. Also mention date, time and interface ID of affected…

Hi Steve, this seems like nice feature request and as the effort to implement it should not be big, I would suggest you to post it here: Thanks for posting on thwack. Pavel

Hi Bruce, can you provide more information about your problem, please? Are those interfaces monitored by NPM and have status different from up or they are not even recognized and added in? Can you see those interfaces on the node when you do list resources? Thanks, Pavel
-
Hi rjenk, unfortunately there is no way to change status of node according status of its UnDP or triggered alert. You can create a feature request for this here: Thanks, Pavel
-
Hi Byrona, could you provide link to the file you downloaded, please? Thanks, Pavel

Hi wluther, can you check if you did not set custom bandwith? Also you could check what in/out data are stored in DB for the time when utilization shows the peak. It can be that the device returns a value which is wrongly interpreted. Thanks, Pavel
-
Hi extrands, this works like a charm on my environment. I should mention that there is "and" operator between two conditions so your interface alias must contain both "uplink" and "vending" words. If you are looking for interfaces with alias "uplink" or "vending" then use both words separated by space in one condition…

Hi Craig, There is quite simple way how to delay the alert in Advanced Alert manager. If you want to trigger the alert when the conditions last 24 hours then you can use Alert Suppression for the alert. It means that the conditions can be fulfilled but the alert triggers when the state is not changed during the selected…

Hi tbudd, here you can find some information about UCS: http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/SettingUpCiscoUCS.pdf Cheers, Pavel

Hi jrich, I am not sure if I understand correctly what exactly you want to see, If you are monitoring OID which returns number of connections then you wont be able to show what happend with the connections between polls. You would need to monitor another OID which returns this kind of information. If you want to see…

Hi thorumnz, I would suggest you to try repairing your SQL server installation first. We should not need to check CLR in 10.4.2 anymore. Let me know your progress then, please. Cheers, Pavel
