Can anyone confirm if this is now possible? I really need the ability to have unique instances of alerts trigger off the back of incoming traps and assigned to nodes that are defined in a varbind value.

Can't believe this still isn't fixed!

This needs to happen!

Support provided me with a potential workaround from their developers which may help in reducing the frequency of this issue occurring. It involves modifying the SWJobEngineSvc2.exe.config file... (use at your own risk!) 1. Backup SWJobEngineSvc2.exe.config file in {SolarWindsInstallDirectory}\SolarWinds\Orion. 2. Edit…

I suspect issue is still applicable. I'm on 2023.2 and experiencing the issue. 2023.2.1 was already released when I spoke to support and they said dev were working on a fix. If I was already fixed in 2023.2.1 they'd of advised me to upgrade.

I am experiencing similar polling frustrations on 2023.2. Since upgrading I now often experience issues where polling randomly stops for all nodes on a specific poller. When this occurs there's no indication in the Solarwinds poller health stats to indicate a problem. We are therefore having to manually monitor the…

anyone been able to work this out?
-
Managed to resolve following a "repair" of SolarWinds Platform (via Control Panel) which also makes you run through config wiz.
-
I experienced something similar when I attempted a repair install. I found that the "C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\" folder was there however my account didn't have the permissions to open it. After I let Windows grant the required permissions the installer was able to continue successfully. SolarWinds does recommend that you…

Having issues following NCM 2023.1 upgrade (from 2020.2.6). Our instance only uses and is licensed for NCM. Following the successful 2023.1 install and config wiz completion the "Job Engine v2" service has since failed to start resulting in the inability to add nodes, test polling etc. Attempting to manually start this…

Any update on this request? We have 1000's of Netflow sources which means we get a VERY long scroll bar (and long page loading times) for the Netflow Summary page which contains the "Netflow Sources" resource widget. It would be great if the "Netflow Sources" resource widget had the ability to be grouped with the same type…

I was able to implement a change on each of my ESXi hosts in order to "fix" this.... In order for up-to-date hardware health status for the hosts to be reported via the VCentre VMWare API, a "throttleInterval" entry needs to be added on each ESXi host VCentre agent config file. This will force the hardware health to update…

Sorry for bumping old thread, however I'm also seeing this issue when polling via the VMWare API. I can manually refresh/reset the sensors in VMWare, SolarWinds then picks up the new stats, but the sensors then never automatically refresh and will remain at the same values. I have this same issue on all my ESXi hosts in…

Did you have any luck with this? I'm keen to understand if this is possible. Running reports can have a big impact to performance so it really make sense for some form of audit to be logged for such activities.

Great, this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

I get this same issue with the page and as such missed the info that this hotfix was released. www.solarwinds.com/.../cve-2021-44228 Currently reporting that last update was 18th Dec! Also the RSS feed doesn't appear to have been updated! :( https://www.solarwinds.com/shared-content/rss-feed/solarwinds-cve-rss-feed Please…

Thanks for this Edwin

Fantastic, thanks for providing this information. I can confirm this has fixed my issue. Frustrating that SolarWinds support weren't able identify this and provide similar workaround when I raised this as a case.

I have the same issue which I've posted here... https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/Orion-SDK-Discussions/SWIS-SWQL-Studio-API-Windows-Group-Authentication-Issue/td-p/596694 Was hoping the "api" changes listed in the 2020.2.4 release notes would fix this however I'm still encountering the same issue following upgrading to…

I believe SDK/SWQL-Studio uses the REST API on port 17778 too. SolarWinds stance on the API, including SWQL-Studio, is that it isn't a supported product! https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Support-for-Orion-SDK-and-other-API-related-tools?language=en_US SolarWinds Orion Core was built with an API…

Afraid to say there has been no resolution with this, I still need to perform the workaround which avoids being able to use windows security groups for access. I also upgraded to the latest 2020.2.1 in the hope that it may help fix but problem is still present. SolarWinds support simply point you to these forums as they…

Hi Dan, apologies for the delayed response. Thanks for your reply. I logged this forum post following advice from SolarWinds support. SolarWinds support performed some basic troubleshooting however ultimately explained the scope of their support with the API/SWQL Studio and advised the best way forward would be to submit…

Hi Christopher, Thanks for the reply. If I’ve never logged into SolarWinds web front end with the account, and I attempt to login to SWQL Studio, the "C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\InformationService\v3.0\Orion.InformationService.log" reports the following: WARN SolarWinds.Data.Providers.Orion.OrionAccountValidator - (null)…

Hi All, Still experiencing this issue I'm afraid. Can anyone offer any assistance? Thanks.
