Would like to see RuggedCOM Routers and Switches populate with detailed info, vs. "unknown." Any further information needed, I can provide it. Not sure what the OID is or where to find it.

Well looks like I got it this time... After renaming some groups and trying different names, i finally got it to work. At least on V2c. One of those things, I dont know what I changed, but something worked. At least now I can use this as a baseline to get the others to work on the network. Thanks again for the assistance…

Yeah its not the same without him... long wait until August! They will do V2c... I tried the same general concept.. I even tried basic V1, no luck. I just put an Adtran 3205 router on this box with a 5 port hub/switch... configured it as V2c, it works great. all 3 devices ping each other great. But when I try to build the…

it is set to SNMP, so i thought shutting out ICMP would be safe. I guess some subnets that works, others it doesnt. In teh end im having the fw group remove the ICMP blocking, should fix the issues. Thanks!

Andy - I thank you for your assistance. I deleted the R/W part, and kept Read Only, checked the 64 bit counters, and verified the rts1 doesnt have a space. No luck. For grins, I set authentication to None, still no luck. In the RuggedCOM - the only options are None/HMACMD5 and None/CBC-DES For a "simple" protocol, its…

Due to the wonderful world of IT Security, our ICMP and Tracert is blocked at the firewalls. However, I did verify with our fw group that traffic is going in and out both ways. Neil M Hicks | mobile:608-289-1183 | email: neilhicks@alliantenergy.com

Thanks Andy. Can you further explain the trap setup? I want to avoid getting an email for every bounce thru the day (could be hundreds or thousands on a bad circuit.)

Thanks Andy. I tried to change the configs to V3, and that did not seem to change anything. New PDF attached... can you find anything wrong?

That did it… I appreciate it, VERY much! I'm not an IT guy, more field work, but glad to have your assistance! If I knew about your company we might have had you guys set it up initially instead! Neil M Hicks Telecom Technician 608-289-1183

A reboot of the machine/SW fixed it – I just hope that isn’t going to be an ongoing fix. Neil M Hicks Telecom Technician 608-289-1183

I want to thank you lag, for all your help. I've got to the point of the map showing, with weather loops – and an icon for the state. When I click the state, it brings up the dialog box, I click WI(state) and it hangs on a white page. The more I play with it, it looks different than what I was expecting.. wish I knew…

I don’t know why I didn’t catch that earlier – but copied my hack files into the NPM directory and now im getting somewhere. So using the default HTML shown in the instructions, with MyHack.aspx – I can see the google…

Do you have more information on your last part – running queries against the database using database manager? Thanks Neil M Hicks Telecom Technician

I noticed I didnt have the Country property on. I added it it to customer property builder and populated all with USA. I changed my custom HTML to <iframe src="/Orion/GoogleHack/MyCityStateMapHack.aspx" width="10%" frameborder=0 height=600 scrolling=no align=center></iframe> No longer getting the error above, but now just…

Thanks! Of course the username & PW were changed. Would the Data Source = (local)\SQLEXPRESS be used for the “server=SQLSERVER\INSTANCE variable? Neil M Hicks Telecom Technician 608-289-1183

What is the default username/pw for sql? Where would I login into sql to test what I think they should be\create a new account like SWMPAS?
