  • That's excellent, thanks!
  • Should anyone run into the same issue, check the CLI via the Meraki dashboard. The SNMP settings in there did not match the SNMP settings defined under the Network settings in Meraki Dashboard. Run a "show snmp stats hosts" Also, I'd advise that maybe the Catalysts converted to run Meraki OS are just too quirky to…
  • So it turns out our dedicated Meraki switches could be added via SNMP, but we have Catalysts running Meraki OS and these are not responding to SNMP connection via SolarWinds. Not sure as to why there.
  • I definitely like to know where you get with monitoring Meraki switches in Solarwinds. I have a similar case.
  • If you can share here what comes of it, it would certainly be helpful to another team in the same circumstance. Can't even get SNMP V3 to work on this end (it does for our APs, but not switches) Can you share the SNMP settings that worked for you?
  • I agree, just something to note for those who attempt this conversion. Also SNMPv3 was a little hard to get to work on those devices. The settings set in Meraki Dashboard did not match the actual SNMPV3 settings shown in the CLI (visible via Meraki Dash). You have to match the CLI settings to SW to get it to connect.
  • I haven't tried via SNMP V2. We have gotten them connected now via SNMP V3 (meraki must be SHA1/DES56) and yes it is Network > General. However it's the Catalysts we converted over to Meraki OS that report strangely to Solarwinds, quite different than running Cisco IOS on it.
  • We'll try this. But reporting across this device is good, except this one interface. Same router model and interface on another device is reporting just fine.
