Its hard to say without knowing which OID is used to collect the connection stats. There is 2 things which I could suggest. One is going to Cisco and asking which OID is that?(have this as last option) Install this tool on the Orion server, this is a SNMP WALK browser and very simple to install. Here is the link.…

Looks like we have to go through the log files, database values and few others to investigate deeper. So I would recommend you to go ahead and open a ticket with our support team.

Where is this showing up?Any supporting screenshots would be appreciated.

I don't think we can do this using Orion as of now.Would you like to have a feature request opened?
-
Try this out in the filter Interfaces section. It should work. Region='UK'

Can you confirm if the Location column in Nodes table of the Orion database has the actual data or is it showing blank in the database too. By this way we can figure out if the problem is on GUI or the SNMP data.

If there is no Cisco MIB to find the total MAC address count then we cant do much either,we rely on SNMP data like every other NMS. On the comment that most people pull data from MAC address count per VLANs and then add them up.Are they using MIB values from each VLAN for MAC address count to add them up? If yes ,please…

Goto Alert manager-->Edit-->Trigger Action-->go on to select edit 'Edit e-mail/page action'.Now get to the 'Message' tab.Select 'Insert variable' option at the bottom. Now you can see the 'NodeName' listed when you select 'General' option listed under 'Variable Category'.Whereas 'custompollerstatus' would not available to…

All the devices use SNMP protocol to discover and poll ,except for the ones on ICMP.The polling of each device is going to happen using SNMP MIBs.When devices get added it uses "Sysobjectid" which is unique for each vendor, to discover a device.Only after successful device discovery the polling is going to be…

Working with support should work, its hard to say without looking in deeper.

I don't think we can do this on current version.Would you like to add this as a feature request?

If I am understanding your problem correctly,it sounds weired. In the Nodes table you mentioned that the column Node_ID was blank. There is no column with name Node_ID in Nodes table,we just have NodeID. So I want to reconfirm if you were looking at the right table.
-
Not sure where is the problem. -Can we check the following information by logging into the database and run the following query in the "Nodes" table. Select vendor, entitytype,ip_address From Nodes where IP_Address='x.x.x.x' -Then check for the Alert condition.
-
CPU hitting 100% is a worry. And at the same time, its hard say whats causing the problem from the description above. You may check the task manager to see which ones are consuming considerable memory utilization(after sorting the memory). If you don't find any process other than SolarWinds,I would recommend to open a support…

This thread discusses similar issue with SNMP authentication.Hope this should get you started.

We have opened a feature request.(Request #90433)

We only support the Orion NCM installation as per information available in Chapter 2 of the Admin Guide.Installing NCM on terminal server is not supported.
-
The first step is to verify that the MIBs are not already in our MIB library. You can do this by browsing or search the MIB library using the Universal Device Poller. If the MIBs you're interested in are not in the library, then it is not supported. However you can get them added by following the steps in this KB article.…

We would have to look into the log files to investigate further and find the root cause of the problem.Having said that restarting the services might clear this big value which I would not recommend to do so.Please go-head and open a support ticket to look into this issue.

You could log into the GUI.In the "All Nodes" section select the 'edit' option. Please apply the following changes which should eventually help to get the desired results. Subtitle:Grouped by Status Level1:Status Level2:None Level3:None Please let me know if this is what you wanted to do or explain a little more so that I…

Looks like something is not correct. Its hard to say what could be the problem. It could be a sync issue,so try restarting the Orion services and still doesn't fix then I would ask to open a support ticket to look in deeper.
