I would like to give an overview on how bandwidth usage is calculated. Most of the data stored in the NPM database is coming via an snmp get request for all the available OIDs for any particular device. So there is an OID for InBandwidth and OutBandwidth which is collected by the NPM while doing a polling to the core…

Here is the description I picked from the OrionAdminsitratorGuide. LastSync Time and date of last Node/Interface/Volume database and memory synchronization.
-
I would recommend to read the OrionserverMigration and moving OrionDatabase document just to start off.
-
Looks like you are processing a non SNMP performance data which is not supported at this time and any solution/workaround would be too risk full as well.

Do you want to try this out? Get back the Event summary on the Node Details Page. And EDIT the Event Summary to get the field "Time Period" set to "Last 12 Months".I believe you should see all alerts showing up for that Node.
-
As to what I see for the "Search Nodes" widget, you can do a search by Node name or IP Address or..etc from the list of options in the drop down available. Which version of NPM are you currently running?
-
I am assuming that in the Trigger condition tab,at the bottom you should see "Do not trigger this action until condition exists for more than " should be set to "zero seconds". If not please paste the "trigger condition" and will go from there.
-
You need to log into the actual device and make changes over there so that the same can be applied in the Add Node Details page.
-
There is no wrong in your alert condition logically. It should work fine. Here are few things you may check. 1.Check "Enable this Alert" is checked in the General tab 2.Check for the Alert Evaluation Frequency in the General tab 3.Check for the "Time of Day" 4.Most importantly have your Trigger Actions set to "write to Event…

To find the custom MIB ,may be this should help.Install this SNMPWALK tool on the Orion installed server and then scan to get the SNMPWALK results which will be directed to a notepad. From the results, you should be able to trace out the required MIB by looking for its corresponding values. Hope this gets you started.Once…

Can you give more details about "active alerts log which you are referring to"?I would like to mention that the table named "AlertLog" in the database has the information which you are looking for.

Looks like you are right. There is no option to give a IP range or more customizable option.I can help you with a work around and will add this to enhancement list. How many IPs in number(approx) are in the core store network? If its handful then you should be able to give them as "is not" to accomplish them.If it is going…

Answering to your first question. I don't think you can add a new field in the Alerts page for displaying "Node Name".Basically you cannot add new fields to Alerts page. Coming back to your requirement on Alerts page. This is how it works. The field "Network Object" on the Alerts page is going to display the data coming…
