Looks like we would not be able to change the state of the device for an alert condition.I am curious to know why would you like to have the device state changed when we have other options available as Alert Actions.

Can you log into the database and pull up the Nodes table to see ,if the column "Unmanaged" ticked or unticked, unmanagefrom time and unmanageuntil time. Ticked means it is unmanaged Not ticked means there is no schedule or restrictions as such.

If you find inconsistency in the report for the Node Availability, please open a support ticket to investigate further. I believe Orion shouldn't consider downtime for all the nodes in the database when it gets rebooted. There are dedicated OIDs to collect data from the device on their Uptime. What can happen when Orion…

Eric, On the point #4,if I am understanding this correctly you were able to see real values(that is instead of zero)when you ran SNMP WALK.Is this close? Well, understanding from the history of the problem,it looks like something is bad. I want you to run the configuration Wizard which can very much fix the issue. However if…

Creating 5 groups of alerts should be the right way.And then to build the query according to your requirement, you have to use the Advanced alert manager. Under "trigger Condition", choose the "Type of Property to Monitor" as "Custom SQL Alert".For the "Set up your Trigger Query" select "Custom Node Poller". With the help…

NCM wont help here, has to be NPM or NTA. Is the traffic on the WAN interface a mix of thin client and others? Are you looking to looking to isolate the thin traffic client only? If you can elaborate more on this,it would be great.

You can make use of the Advance Alert trigger condition tab, especially you can look for the "Custom SQL" option in the Type of property to monitor. This will allow to write any custom sql using the values from the Orion database.I suppose this should work for you.

Here is a quick thought on this. You can run a snmp walk to see if any particular node/interface is supported or not.You could confirm the same if the SNMPWALK is going to show results for those MIBs. Let us know what did you observe from the SNMPWALK results. We have a SNMPWALK browser easy to use.here is the link.…

You can do this on the report writer tool by selecting,Advanced SQL option in the new report. So with the help of an SQL expert you should be able to get the query written according to your results. Hope this gets you started.
