Great explanation, i have 2 internet links connected to the same router, can i use this method to check the availability of the internet net service? Like ssh to the device from 1st link and another Netpath ssh from 2nd link?

yes, I can ping the next hop, I'm getting what you mean. I think you mean, do you mean to monitor the next hop IP by ping( add it as a node).
