Thanks Marlie, that helps but is a poor solution as it will greatly increase the number of alerts I have to create. There should be a way to exclude within a timeframe based upon local timezone for the device, etc. Guess I'll be building a ton of alerts now... thank you though for the response.

Thanks, I thought so too. We have a hundred or so other alerts that send fine, with same settings. Have tried the perfmonlog as well... have a number of open cases with them for various things, perhaps it is tied to them. For now I'll consider my logic at least correct, and go from there. THanks for verifying.

Sure, can do. Also, just to clarify, when I get through all of the alert sections, it indicates it should fire immediately on at least two items, but then we never see the actions. I simplified the actions down to one simple action, send an email to me. And even though it indicates it should fire, nothing happens.

Thanks, yes, today I see it now. I checked Wednesday as I worked on another case with them and it wasn't there... so thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks Abakus... is it readily available? I am on 2020.2.5 and check daily for updates/patches and am not seeing it in upgrade options... I'll check again though.

We had been through this with no accomplishments. We just finished opening a wide open hole in firewall, uninstalled agent, deleted from Orion, then reinstalled agent and it appears to work. Going to lock down firewall again and see what happens.

So interesting point. If you copy the alert and set it any differently, it does not appear to work. Even set to match the out of the box alert it does not seem to work. I can re-enable the out of box and it works. I can copy the out of box using duplicate and edit... and it doesn't work. Very strange. I played with this…

This does work... but takes a long time. Am recreating/copying and playing with timing now, so this does work.

So, taking the out-of-the box alert exactly as is comes... Thus, Thin Access Point, and status of Down. We're currently waiting to see if it ever alerts... has been down about 10 minutes so far.

Yes, sounds great. Doesn't work. I've turned it on with notifications and when we take an AP down, we still receive no alerting. Will test again, perhaps they have repaired it with the newer version.

Executed an alert like this, had no effect. I did both the disappeared and the disassociated, then took some AP's offline. It feels like there should be some more settings... like making an alert for a 'controller' then AP's that disappear from it... not like this general of an alert... So still searching for an answer...…

Not yet, let me try that, but am unsure it fires an appropriate alert... but let me see. We also use Prime but it is too noisy to be of use for looking for Access Point failures... my NOC can't decipher it.

So I will tell you what I can... In SAM, I went to manage applications and then created a template and then a monitor for the website in question. Looking at it, it has a web link monitor set to Enabled, no credentials, monitoring a website (name obscured): http://websitesname.com/name/name/name/name03?client=22 Accept…

Thank you, I will look into it. Trouble is, right now I cannot modify menus or dashboards, after the latest upgrades my Manage Dashboard/Edit View options do not work, I have an open case trying to address it. But once they do I will see what I can do.
