Hey there Solarwinds... any progress on getting Volume information to show from ESXi hosts? Sure would be awesome to be able to monitor that.

ddemetra, Correct. I am in the same boat as you. I'm running ESXi 4 and Orion v10 and I do see the list of VMs running on the Host, the VM CPU, memory and netwrok consumption on the ESXi host and even see the ESXi NICs. But just like you I do not get Disk Volume information of the ESXi host. Hopefully VMware and Solarwinds…

Nice to see user intrest on this subject again. With each update for Orion NPM that comes out I keep hoping that my ESXi host datastores will show up. I have added one of my ESX hosts here and I get alot of great information such as list of VMs running on this host, CPU util of host, Memory util of host and Network Interface util, but no data on disk volumes…

Byron, you are able to see the CPU, memory and Volumes of the ESXi hosts? If so that is good news and I'll be scheduling my upgrade to Orion v10 next week. Thanks for the info!

Brandon, I have seen your post, very detailed, thanks for the easy to understand breakdown. Has anyone heard when WMware will support polling volumes of ESXi 4 hosts via SNMP or API so we can start charting this data? Thanks.
