It would appear that it seems to correct some of the probems, but we discovered that the PSU monitroing does not work with VMware Host servers. (Solarwinds ticket #378465) We tried a simple of test of unplugging one of the reduntant power supplies and while it beleives that their is a problem, it does no fire of an alert.…

What are the chances that I can get this approved and download and install today? Also we just received new Proliant Gen8s that I would like to test before this gets out of RC in case it does not work.
-
Spoke to support and was told this was not possible. Only work around is to create one ever every server. What a bummer.
-
Cool. I can't run the beta in production here, so we will have to wait.
-
Sounds good.

Good news! We appear to have it working except for one thing - WQL Query looks like this - SELECT MessagesinQueue FROM Win32_PerfFormattedData_msmq_MSMQQueue WHERE Name='corpqa1svcvm01\\private$\\safeauto.printjob.sameday' I need to change "corpqa1avcm01" to a variable that means machine name. Any clue which variable I…

Do you want a screenshot from the server or from the within Solarwinds?
-
Thank you. Glad I was finally able to offer something in return to those have supported me in the past.

Let me get a window to upgrade it and let's see if it helps my situation out at all.

Once I changed the Device Details from what was in the SW default alert that was installed by the update to 5 to what you suggest above it worked like a champ. It would appear that at least right now this is the best want to get this information in the alert. It should be the answer unless someone else know something that…

is there any way to change it to Hours and Minutes ie: (HH:MM) ?? I beleive that it is possible, but that is really beyond what I know how to do at this point. Maybe someone else could suggest a way to do this?

I have tried your suggestion and looked at the WMI for MSMQ and it appears not to be visible or exposed. How can I make MSMQ visible or exposed on this server so I can see it? I can see it in availiable counts when I create a user defined data collector set for the performance monitor, so I know that it is there.

We are on SIM 7 and HIMA 9.0.0.0 as our standard. I did reply to the ticket and give them all of the info to put in in the database, but have yet to receive any reply. Please get it documented so it can help someone else as I wasted about 15 hours trying to solve this issue till I hit upon the solution. In case you want…

Is there any additional documentation on how to set this one up?
-
That seems to work. For sure it gets the job done to tell us which VMs are using the wrong storage on the SAN. Thanks!

1 - Yes, above the Nodedetails I see both current hardware health and hardware details that are populated with the correct HP ProLiant info for this DL 360 G5 server. 2 - The variables that I am using in the message are the defaults that came from SW with the update as shown below - Manufacturer:…

Yes, you are correct. I never noticed that before. I think... but now am not sure... that we had it at one point. I am not running the latest build, still on SAM 5.0 with Orion Core 2.2. I heard that the latest version does correct some problems with the hardwae monitoring. Is this true?
-
Nevermind, I see my error now. Cisco 5508 seems to be working fine now and I am getting all of the data from it. It did seem to take quite some time for this to getrolling within Solarwinds. Thanks for your help!
-
Sorry... I miss that... as you pointed out... I am also missing the files which does not help either. Thanks!

Did you find any difference updating to 5.0.3? I am still having difficulty getting BES Connection to Exchange, Seconds that BES has failed connection to Exchange since last reboot, and Message Delivery Pending. Do you still have to add the .20 to OIDs with 5.0.3 or do you have to add another value?
-
Yes, but I want to get into monitoring some of the customr or user queues and those don't seem tio support this.
-
I need to better understand how to use this template. When applied to both nodes in the cluster it just seems to go off over and over agian and sometimes it isn't a real failover event. What else can you tell me about using this template? What monitors within the template are not really needed? What should I be alerting on…
-
Please do... It is very useful thing to have and I hope we can get it fixed quickly.
-
Did you ever find an answer to this? I can't be the only one wondering which MIBs made the cut in the latest release and which MIBs did not.
-
Actually if you read the first post in this thread, I think I isolated the software that needs loaded in order to get the hardware monitoring working with Solarwinds, but using SmartStart does seem to install all of the correct software as well. I never tried the web site method, so I don't know if you installed anything…

What I found is just because the monitoring is withing with HP SIM, does not mean it will work with Solarwinds. However, what I found is that if you have the latest version of the HP Insight Management Agent version 9.0.0.0 it does work. (Actually, since I started working on this HP has released a 9.1 Agent - It works as…

Not a problem. Happy that I was finally able to offer something of value. For sure my call into support yielded no help from the SolarWinds tech as she didn’t know and it was really more of an HP problem anyway.

OK - I figured out what was the problem with the 4402. SNMP was being blocked and once I figued that out, the 4402 came in just fine showing it as a wireless controller with all of the data. Next problem is that we also have a Cisco 5508 which I am seeing, but I am getting an error saying "Wireless device was not found in…

I figured it out. I needed delete the data in Field formatting from the Caption field under Web URL.
