Dodie, Are you looking for the 8.5 AG or are you looking for the latest? The latest can be found in the space. This is a direcct link http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/OrionNPMAdministratorGuide.pdf ... though, you'll find more info by cruising around the space I mentioned above. Michael

Were you able to find out your security settings in your browser? Is it possible that your browser does not allow iFraming? If I missed your answer to #1 on Feb 28, I apologize. Thanks, Michael

Hi, I've been talking with my dev team here and we're trying to understand the exact error you are seeing. When you follow the link you are unable to log in from, are you redirected to this location or do you get a 404? Are you seeing an error in NPM? Or, are you able to see the site and unable to log in on the page? Can…

Ah, that is super helpful info marunderwood. It looks like the product is malforming the URL. I will see what we can do. Thank you! Michael

Excellent. Please keep sending any issues my direction. Where community directly touches product, it can get a bit strange hunting things down. But, this was a great exercise in seeing the community point out something I needed to get fixed pronto Thanks, Michael

This thread is continued in the following post, please respond here: . Thanks, Michael

This is now posted to our KB. Thanks all! http://support.solarwinds.com/kbase/ProblemDetail.cfm?ID=1353

pjcarter12, We would not support having 2 NPM servers writing to the same database. You will have many many issues. I think Andy was thinking you were creating a new database on the same database server. That would be fine. Using the same DB for 2 servers actively collecting would not. Michael

mhh351, It is not clearly documented, my fault. I will correct that in the Release Notes. But, if you want to install and have the new functionality available in the integration module, you will need to upgrade your NCM server to 5.1 first, then install the 5.1 integration module. Thanks,

Hi Jay, Have you taken a look at these KB articles? knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/.../How do I enable CLR on a SQL 2008 Server. knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/.../How do I enable CLR Integration for SQL Server 2005? knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/.../What does my DBA need to know about CLR Integration? The last one provides a…

I will pass your email along. Thanks, Michael

Try page 8 here: http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/LEM/Docs/SolarWinds-LEM-QuickStartGuide.pdf That should give you somewhere to start. HTH, Michael

This has been marked for PM, but I will also send a note over to the product management folks.

allendlung, You can still open a customer service ticket, as you have licenses to use and cannot use them. You should feel free to email customer service at customerservice@solarwinds.com or to call 512-682-9300 and select the option for Customer Service. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience, Michael

Strange, I see that one and many other results... this is probably an indexing issue and we will get it fixed.

Mav or Andrew, Would either of you like to field Garrison's question? I know the Release Notes give a pretty good history of what's new between versions. Garrison, You might try here, too. SolarWinds Orion Network Performance Monitor Release Notes Michael

agreed... except for the mentalstrubation part. :)

We fixed an issue where people who did not have their first name or last name defined in their profiles were receiving this error. We "fixed it" by copying your username to your first name and using dashes for your last. If you did not have these required fields defined, that would explain the error. This only bubbled to…

Chris, It is absolutely not in violation of any rules... please post to the Content Exchange. Anything that helps our community is welcome. Community extensions of the product are great. If you post it there, please make sure you create a link to it from here. Thank you! Michael

I think I got that remedied. Thanks, Michael

This is available in the help, with a link to the full procedure that I'll copy below. The problem is we seem to have implemented the help button on the generated report and not on the main page (inventory or policy). I will ask that this be implemented. Meanwhile, if you gen a report and click Help on the resulting report…

Hi contracer, We have 3 partners who offer professional services. Take a look at Corona, Sigma Solutions, and Loop1. Thanks, Michael

Hi vaulterny, We have another procedure here (http://support.solarwinds.com/kbase/ProblemDetail.cfm?ID=1118) for APM on exporting and importing the cert. If you send me a list of your modules, I will track down any other procedures. I will also see about getting these into the Admin Guides for the products, in detail.…

Dave, You are dead on. I'm going to see about getting a separate section in the RNs for each module. We have been trying to get the additional web server documented in the Admin Guide of NPM and trying to cover the different modules there, but getting it into the RNs with links to the KBs is a great suggestion. I'm on it.…

The job board is live, all.... it took (much) longer than I expected, but we have it up: GOT A JOB? NEED A JOB? GET A JOB.

All, This was supplied for a customer on a call with support and was created for v3. Unless you are on a call with a support rep, this code cannot and will not be supported by SolarWinds. I am talking to the team internally to see if, with the above disclaimer, it can stay up. It is quite possible I will need to remove…

There is a permission issue we run across at times that can be fixed by following the information in this KB: http://support.solarwinds.com/kbase/ProblemDetail.cfm?ID=1183 I realize that the original poster has probably worked around this, but I wanted to update this thread to make sure anyone else searching for an answer…

And we have feedback.... We have a projects scheduled for later this year to take care of this issue in particular. We are aware and working on it. Thanks guys, Michael
