LGentile, I've asked a Sales Rep to reach out to you via email. I hope he can help you out with your selection process and answer your questions. Please let us know here. Thanks, Michael

If this belongs in the NPM forum or the alerting forum, we can move it there for you. Shall we move it?

Hi njoylif, Can you check this again and see if you get results. I'm working with our platform folks and they are wondering if the following gets you results: infoblox undp But before you do, maybe just trying again and seeing if you see what I see now? Thanks, Michael

I've sent this over to our Info Dev folks... they can help champion this in the coreteams. It is a great idea. Thanks, Michael

Andy, Are you looking for info on the user permissions needed to run the RPC service or to make calls to the service remotely? Sorry, you answered that. Thanks, Michael
-
You're absolutely welcome... glad to help.

Hi Byron, You should expect a much more flexible and working search capability, easier navigation around the site, better organization, better highlighting of active users... Improvements all around, sir. Michael

Matt, Can you please look into this case and make sure it was not closed prematurely or inadvertently. It would certainly seem that is rather surprised by its closure. Thank you, Michael

skierjmh, This is great information. I will make sure that the documentation is updated for the next release. Meanwhile, we will get this into the release notes. I will also forward your suggestion about 'if exists' for the custom.config file to Denny and the dev lead. Michael

At this time, it looks like the bug affects all 12.2SX IOS flavors, as Kahmeelyon mentioned. Would you please also check your MS IIS settings where you installed the Web Console? If you've enabled the URLScan tool to check for greater than or less than signs, this tool may be blocking your graphs.

Hi dunmann22, I am confused. You just posted a question to this forum. Are you looking for the functionality in NPM? Thanks, Michael

SAM is what we renamed APM. Some might think we just wanted an acronym we could say aloud HTH, Michael

And, just for general knowledge our service packs and service releases are inclusive of previous fixes. So, when and if a 10.2.2 releases (and so on) the fix will be in there. Thanks all, Michael

Hi Mike, It is definitely in my realm to make people aware of our community's pain and our larger customer's pain, so you can expect that I will forward this up the chain. I have spoken with some people already and will brings more attention to this thread. Thanks for reaching out and know I will get eyes on this. Sorry…

Thanks Jonathan, This is super useful. I will get this in front of some more folks here.

Ralph, Would you 'Verify' Dale's answer when you feel confident. I'm sure it would be appreciated by all to know you kicked the tires. Dale, Great job. Thanks, Michael

So, this is a bit confusing. You are searching the Content Exchange space, which is logical, but the content you are looking for is actually in the Network Performance Monitor space. The Content Exchange space does not actually serve as a content house but as a front page that points you to the individual content exchanges…

czerewacz, Thank you for the clarification. I am sorry to say that we only provide those 5 'built-in' accounts for NCM outside of using Windows accounts. Though you may not like the solution, would it be possible to create local user accounts on the Windows system for your users, like Mike? That would avoid your having to…

Thank you for letting us know. We are seeing some strangeness with IE10 on the boards. We're working with Jive on short term and long term fixes. There seems to be an issue at times with the Reply function... but this is the first time I've heard of the drop downs and such being an issue. Short term: we're getting some…

atags, -1 is explained in the manual as follows: Warning: Port -1 is designated by NetFlow Traffic Analyzer as the default port for all types of unmonitored traffic. This port should not be deleted, and it is recommended that the description not be edited. See the following URL:…

I'm not finding the capability documented either, but it is there in the product. I'll make sure it makes it into the next release. Meanwhile, here you go: To export report results: * Launch the Orion NCM client application on your Orion NCM server. * Click Reports > View Report. * Select the report you want to export, and…

Any particular reason you want to see it locked down? We are pretty open with our documentation. It should always be available here: www.solarwinds.com/.../OrionLocalHelp.zip Also, I think we will probably date stamp the folder inside the zip. That zip file is referenced in many places. I would hate to unwittingly break a…

Ken, The support is not for groups, actually. It is for individual accounts. The only group that is supported is the Everyone group. This will be noted in the "Using Windows Pass-Through Security" section, step 11, where the Everyone group is mentioned. Everywhere else, as far as I can see, states that this is a mapping of…

Sorry, we are still getting redirects in place to the new system: http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/1220/

Hi Nitin, Please let me know if you don't hear from one of our Sales Engineers. I have asked that you be contacted and will gladly follow up. Best, Michael

No, I understand the frustration. I thought the conclusion of our last conversation about this had to do with the specific machine you were using at work. Has that changed?
-
Justin, Please let me first assure you that we have not touched your MS SQL Server or any component of your SQL Server. I talked with development about what you saw. The component that is installed is MS SQL CE 3.5. This is completely client-side and separate from SQL Server. Since this component is required by our…

Okay. We are checking into it. Since I can't find them when I do a global/non-specific search... this is an issue. We'll figure it out.

You can find the following information on p. 19-20 of the NCM Administrator Guide. The following Node Details resources are added to Orion NPM when you install the integration. Last 10 Config Changes Provides a list of detected configuration changes, listing the user committing the change, the time of upload, and the type…
