kweise, I reached out to development regarding your request. The following recommendation was suggested: select Process all expired IPs and specify a Custom number of minutes of 60. The resource consumption should be relatively low, as performance enhancements in version 3.1 SP2 introduced a separate NetflowEndpoints…

I am absolutely sure it will be. Thank you!
-
Yes, absolutely. If you PM or email me your info, I will pass it along to someone who will reach out to you.

wbrown, Would it be helpful for you to know the bug numbers? Are you looking for a detailed description of the bug? NetSuite case titles (the title used when filing a case) do not always accurately reflect what might be fixed finally? I'm interested in knowing the depth of detail you're requesting. Thanks, Michael

We've a KB on the IIS issue... http://support.solarwinds.com/kbase/ProblemDetail.cfm?ID=1288. It is an IIS setting that is not enabled by default. The funny thing (not funny ha ha) is that we encode the URL, so it should not trigger the scan, but it does. Let me know if any of this helps, Michael

Andy, Not to send you in the wrong direction, but is this the type of error you're seeing? If so, it might be a DCOM/firewall error or a DCOM config error? 0x800706xx (DCOM RPC error) This often occurs when a firewall is configured on the remote computer. You will need to open the appropriate ports on the firewall to…

Thanks! I will PM you with the doc when it is nearer completion. We are shooting for end of the week. I'm sorry if I missed it, but can you tell me what version of Orion NPM you have and what modules, if any? Thanks, Michael
-
I'd missed that, but that gets us closer. We redirect from the old thwack.com to the new thwack.solarwinds.com. I'm checking on the redirect. Thanks again.

While we are updating this, you might find the following KB links useful: http://support.solarwinds.com/kbase/ProblemDetail.cfm?ID=1153 and http://support.solarwinds.com/kbase/ProblemDetail.cfm?ID=1159 . Thanks, Michael

I've opened a ticket with our development team to look into it, though. Thanks and thanks for discovering/using the workaround.

Is the device a Cisco Catalyst switch? My understanding, much to our chagrin, is that most of the catalyst switches are on the 12.2 train that exhibits this bug. If so, please open a TAC with Cisco, so they are also aware of the issue. Thanks, Michael

Greg, There is a way to do this. Download the zip file located at http://www.solarwinds.com/support/Orion/docs/OrionLocalHelp.zip. There are 2 caveats: (1) this zip contains a number of folders that need to exist in the IIS server location you specify and (2) the win32 UI, System Manager, does not call the new help…

Understood. If you had plugged ssh putty into the search bar on any given page, you would have seen the following, though: Is the 5th piece of content the one you were looking for? Thanks, Michael

Kevin, I've talked with the lead developer on this project and he has confirmed that only the SAFE permission level is required. We manipulate only data internal to the database. I will also be updating the KB with this info. Great question. Thank you.Michael

I have just double checked. This forum does not have automated moderation enabled. I'm sorry you are seeing this error. Would you be willing to try again?
-
I'm sorry that you find the site less navigable. I would really like to understand what you are finding so prominently displayed. The game mechanics are really limited to the leader board on the front page. Is it the fact that the polls for our bracket battle are showing up in the popular content list? I appreciate your…

For some reason, it looks like "me" was in our banned list. Please let me know if your next attempt to post is successful. Feel free to reach out to me or Danielle to let us know. Thanks, Michael

The URL I included is actually to the page help for the Application and Service Ports page within the application. I will also talk with the author to see about getting this same information in the Administrator guide.

Jaroslaw, We are always looking for new templates that help our community. There will be other people who need the 2009 BizTalk template, I'm sure. Please do export the template. Thank you in advance for your help. Michael

I have reopened our past issues around this. I will keep you posted.

Just an FYI, the Like capability for a response or reply helps with Search results versus +1'ing a post. Please feel free to Like NuX's response to help out further.

In appendix F (Configuring Automatic Login) of the Oct 15 2008 version of the Orion NPM Administrator Guide in the "Using Windows Pass-through Security" (p.294), available on the website, does not contain the step skierjmh is referring to. I would suggest you use this guide…

TGhosh, I'm sorry to hear you are having such trouble. I took a look at your ticket in our system and see that logs were requested yesterday morning. Have you sent the logs over? I also noticed that you have APM, NCM, NTA, and NPM all on one server with your database. Is that correct? If so, that is definitely going to…

This is now in our KB system. Thank you very much for helping us figure it out! http://support.solarwinds.com/kbase/ProblemDetail.cfm?ID=1288

Have you take a look at this one? http://demo.solarwinds.com/sedemo/?v=apm&l=EN

Dave, et al, I'm very sorry to hear this. Information Development is currently working on a flow chart that we're hoping will help with this exact issue. Would anyone here be willing to look through a beta copy of this document later this week? The goal is to look back all the way to Orion NPM version 7.85 and guide people…

I agree with you about the error message. We'll look into how we can update that. When you click Also, thanks again for working with us on this. Your third pic is actually a credentials issue. I don't want to be a tell you anything worthless, but both your username and password are case sensitive. I just want to throw that…

New link to the same article. We have a policy to not edit other people's posts, so I'm just adding the new link here. http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/1175Thank you, Michael

Thanks for the doc fix. I've updated the Release Notes and they should be posted this evening. I'm guessing your rebuild fixed the rest of the issue?

From here on the right side, you should see Write a document in the Actions widget on the right. I'm also going to start a rolling restart of the servers right now. There should not be an outage, but you may get logged off. So please wait a few minutes.
