  • I have a lot of non-cisco devices and LLDP is an important network prototcol for these manufacturers. CDP is a Cisco only protocol so other manufacturers are unlikely to use it without paying to do so. Some have licensed it after building a CDP > LLDP compatibility mode.
  • I concur. This is still needed. I could see a lot of applications and time-saving with this feature.
  • Ours are identical content at the top. Then, at the bottom they have a custom section for the fields that could be variables such as local ip addresses in a WAn or some custom need. • There are two cases where we want to do this; In one case, we wanted to check running configurations against our template - which is a text file that is "frozen" until changes are authorized through the CM process. In the next case, a co-worker is rolling out a new core L-3 switch and needs to compare multiple current,…

It is certainly in Solarwinds best interest to optomize their configuration management, log management, and policy features by providing an editing, ACL…
  • We are also interested in ACL management as a more modular component within NCM. The features we are interested in are; 1. Ability to manage routers, L3 switches, PIX firewalls and ASAs (which NCM does nicely) 2. Ability to modularize portions of rules - for instance, specific rules for say test networks or guest wireless.…
