  • I have run into the same issue, and am just starting to look into it. I would love to hear an easy anwser that does not involve a custom poller. It looks like SNMP v2 does not seem to work properly, or more likely it can not be querried for the types of information that would be useful. Any ideas?
  • Thanks, this is helpful. I will look forward to the next release.
  • I think that you only need to specify a default network device if the default view home page is set to "node details" or "interface details". If you are looking for multiple interfaces you can set your view to summery, for example, and then manage the limitations using the account manager. You can then set the account…
  • This is a good question, I am not sure how to find that information, and I don't see that in the usual help locations. The field contains a sentence or two in plain text.
  • Now that 9.5 is out and I have it installed, could you point me in the right direction as to how to do this? I am primarily interested in trending volume usage. Thanks

  • We are using SiteScope, from Mercury, though I think HP bought them a few years back. The program is several years old but has some nice features. The key feature is a user experience monitor that allows for chaining several steps together to really simulate a user. For example, log into the following site, do a search via…
  • I do have APM installed, and there is a User Experence Monitor configured to go to a HTTP address and look for a key word. As for a screen shot, the error message is showing up on the security IPS system, so I don't have a screen shot, but the core if it is: AUTHORITY/SYSTEM, Failure Audit, <Target Server Name>,…
  • That is too bad. The map funtionality is cool, but if it can't look at any component level information its value is diminished. Thanks for the quick response.
  • I think what you are looking for is a custom view. If you go to Manage Views, you can create a 2 column view with each node or interface you are looking to monitor, 2 to a side. Then you can add the frames suggested by the previous poster and deep link into the interface you want to watch. An example would look something…
  • I generally like to see my Processor Queue Length metric under 2, if it is over 2 for 5 minutes at a time that server might be overburdened. I look at the following for system performance monitoring on Windows machines:· Disk Queue Length· Processor Queue Length· InterruptsPersec· Page File Usage· PercentDPCTime·…
