Tim, Thanks for the reply - we do not have the file in the JobEngine directory, in fact it is nowhere in the SolarWinds directory - see attached. We do not have the "SolarWinds Job Engine v1.1" package mentioned in Add/Remove Programs - is there any way of installing this package as a standalone applicaiton, without going…

problems with V9 Upgrade... initially had issues with the DB permissions, etc - this was sorted by reading this thread and removing the registry entries under SOFTWARE\SolarWinds.Net\ConfigurationWizard\ConfiguredModules\ This allowed the ConfigurationWizard to get past the DB config but we then this an issue when trying…

Jon, Good stuff - also glad to see your upgrade went OK... Enjoy, Kenny

Hi Jon, we are using version 9.0 SP1 (has been upgraded a few times since v7 - so not a clean install). The 'has changed' option is the last entry in the list... see if you can import the attached export definition of the alert??? Kenny
-
what you should be able to do is build the alert using the Custom poller details - see attached..... CustomAlert.zip Basically create an advanced alert, on the Trigger Alert, select Custom Node Poller - select the correct poller name (field) from the drop down list and the status (or the numeric status) is equal to…

Due to the length of time thats passed, I am assuming you figured it out.. Was wanting to do something similar - the buttons are gifs, so changing these requires more skill.. can be found in the NavigationItems image folder. As for the background - this can be found in the NavTabs.css - comment out the…

I'm in the same boat - no APM in the customer portal - after contacting SW Support I was advised that they didn't know when it would appear but to keep monitoring the portal. To date, still no APM even though I am licensed for AM & received the email advising of the free upgrade offer?

Apologies if I am getting the wrong end of the stick, but if you can see accurate information in the private MIB, can you not just create a custom poller for the OID in question which will enable you to view the current status of the individual serial interfaces and not just the overall status of the interface bundle? You…

Jon, From what I can see there is a default Advanced Alert called Alert me when a node reboots - you could add an action to email and that should be you (haven't tested it but it should do the trick....) Kenny

Thanks for the clarification - no need to worry then.... Cheers, Kenny

Hello, The most useful OIDs would be: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3224.4.1.1.1.4.x - VPN Name 1.3.6.1.4.1.3224.4.1.1.1.13.x - Remote Gateway IP 1.3.6.1.4.1.3224.4.1.1.1.21.x - P1 State and/or 1.3.6.1.4.1.3224.4.1.1.1.23.x - P2 State: if either of these are down then the tunnel is down. As Ralphr states, the x above references the index of…

Hi there, I have been trying to find a solution that can monitor our Windows 2003 DHCP server, and create alerts when a scope is full. But I simply cannot find anything, and I have tried to use custom MIB pollers. Can you help me ? Don't know if you have found a solution since the initial post - using Universal Device…

Hi Andy, We are interested in IPFix functionality as we have a Nortel infrastructure. On configuring the IPFix parameters for obtain a capture for you, I have accepted the default options (which are configurable), these are: UDP dst prt 9995; Version preipfixv9 (other options are ipfix & preipfixv5) Now I must admit I…

All OK - sorted our Syslog issues....

We are getting the same issue with Syslog 7.7.5, can you please advise how we can get the updated version which processes Syslog rules?
-
Jon, You're right - not that difficult... Just create a new alert and monitor for the Last Boot property to change, select the nodes to monitor and set the alert to email specified recipients... Kenny

Josh, If you are looking for specifics to test methodolgies, we could use the following MIB and OIDs: NETSCREEN-VPN-MON-MIB 1.3.6.1.4.1.3224.4.1.1.1.4.x (nsVpnMonVpnName.x) NETSCREEN-VPN-MON-MIB 1.3.6.1.4.1.3224.4.1.1.1.13.x (nsVpnMonRmtGwIp.x) NETSCREEN-VPN-MON-MIB 1.3.6.1.4.1.3224.4.1.1.1.21.x (nsVpnMonP1State.x) which…
