We have been enjoying this addon, thanks for sharing. I did find something odd though. I lack the ASP/HTML skills to correct it myself ( was interesting enough for me to finally find the SQL stings to filter what I wanted to see ). When you click on a node in "node summary", you get a new window with the "history" of the…

That did it. Thanks a ton ! Look forward to putting this to work for my department.

Thanks for the reply and the link, but I'm getting the same corrupt file. Any chance you could try ity and see if its corrupt for you also ? I have tried downloading it from work and home, same result.

I would probably wait for the tech to call and see what he/she says. Maybe mention this to him/her and see what they think. Here are the steps though... ( copy/paste from a Solarwinds support e-mail I received ) Go to add/remove programs and remove the sw information service and the sw job engine service. Then go to…

I referenced this tread ( again ) and even quoted your last comment in a reply to the case. Thanks.

I have tried that, didn't work. Is the high memory usage/hangs normal for the report resource ? Is there a suggested limit to how many reports I should post ? Is this a bug ?
-
Good day. I stumbled on this report and would like to give it a try, but it seems the downlad is bad. It downloads as "res_nid_12.03.09.zip" and gives me the an "invalid or currpt zip file error". Thanks

I corrected the issue, it seems. I just re-installed the SW Information Service and SW JobEngine Service and I now have current and correct data being displayed on out Website.
-
It was infact the Magneto font that was causing the crash. Thanks.

I received a reply on the support ticket. The "possible solution" was either use Firefox or upgrade to IE7/8. Not everyone uses or likes Firefox, and upgrading to IE7+ is not an option. I got the impression from your post that there might be something else to try ?

Support ticket has been submited. Case # 118888. I referenced this thread in it. Thanks David

After a long conference call with Solarwinds support, the problem was found. The system BIOS time was off by 5 hours. the data was being collected ad stored, but it was shifted 5 hours ahead. I'm still not clear why Report Writer was the only function that showed this. You could use the same sample time in both a…

Well.. that seems to be what is causing the issue. Problem is I am in square one again. I am now back to a website with a jumble of information, no longer can we just glance at any given resource and see what we need. Is the issue with reports a "bug" or just how it works when you have reports on the site ? Any…

I have used the Report Writer resource in the past to clean up our "home" views and it didn't go very well. there is some kind of memory leak with the Report Writer resource that, well, basically crashes the primary server every hour or so. That was with only 2 resources displaying a custom report. ( I can dig up the…

Yes I have a few custom reports on the front end. I will create a new view and try without any of the reports, just the normal resources. If the reports being displayed on the web is what is causing the issue, then its going to be a huge step backwards for us. We modified a few of the resources previous to 9.5 to display…

I sure will. Looks like they are still researching why the data from the poller isn't displayed. I don't think anyone knows WHAT is being displayed.
-
I have received the updated tool and it works properly. Thanks for the assistance.
-
I'm running 9.5 SP4 on one of the systems and NPM 9.5 SP3 on our deployed servers. Both are showing the same issues.
-
Thanks.

ok.. seems to crash in new maps also. Here is what I did. * Created a new map and just put a text box in it. * Selected the text box, highlighted the font toolbar and typed "a" to get the the Ariel font and selected it. * Saved the map, closed it, and opened it back up. * Selected the text box, highlighted the font tool in…

I'm still having this issue, and we are getting close to deploying EOC. Upgrading to IE 7+ is not an option.

After seeing this thread, I thought I would try clicking an item in Event Summary. I am receiving the same error. **edit** After playing around a bit more with it, it was just that first time clicking in that I got that errors. I have not been able to reproduce it since. I am running 9.5 SP4.

Thanks for the help, but I ended up opening some Support Cases. Case # 168929 for the maps not updating themselves when I try to overwrite. Case # 168931 for the Wide maps not displaying properly Case # 168933 for the map images not displaying properly in the EOC Web Console.

Glad to help. Its always some little checkbox somewhere... eh ?

First off... sorry for the long post, but I think you will see what I am trying to do by it. This is what I am trying to achieve ( more photo-shop ) But all I am able to get is this:
-
I would also like to know if there is a way to do this.

It seems fine now that I have freed up some diskspace. I jumped the gun a bit on this issue. Thanks =)

I am experiencing the exact same thing both my two pollers. They ran smooth on 9.5 SP2 for a week or so and then one day started erroring out on the same two services. DMP files even filled the boot drive and crashed the system. I have done everything short of a reinstall/repair due to the nightmare of install to begin…

Old maps from pre-9.5 Guess I haven't tried it on a new map. Let me give that a try ( thanks for the tip )

Thanks for the reply. IE8 has not been approved for use at our company ( yet ) so I am not going to be able to test that. We are still running IE6. I tried adding our EOC to the trusted sites, no go.
