For #8, as part of your toolbox that lists problems associated with a product or platform...kind of like a FAQ, you notate the problem, symptoms, cause, and resolution so that a newbie on call has something that is 3AM friendly to do a quick check against before calling in additional troops.

The trust part is a hard thing to fill these days. It is not that people are not trustworthy, well at least some, but rather in the end you do have to look out for yourself. I do have a few I do trust but over time we have been scattered about.

Really? connected shoes ? I can see it now..someone who can't tie there shoes anymore when the trip over the laces because they are too used to not having to do anything suing Nike. Seems more like a marketing gimmick for those that have to have the latest tech just because.

In a former life we were able to put some perl scripts on the F5's to do some specific monitoring of the environment. It's really just a unix box on the inside... so a little ssh, a little perl, possibly a cron job or six....

Sounds like sizor is looking for a diff command like monitor (unix diff command). I would think it could simply return a yes or no for a match, or possibly a 0 or 1.
