At least when they did Battlestar Galactica they kept the ships true to form. Granted it had some twists but I think that while being different it did well for a remake.

It would be interesting to see what a small server hosted in the cloud would run.... I've got a few pet projects I'd like to experiment with but don't have a spare server at home to work with and would like to keep it separate from my home network in general. I can see a market for small installations as such....

pretty much nowadays if you have any personally identifiable info, financial data, tax data, HIPAA data then you are a target. In actuality, everyone and every company with an internet presence or access must consider themselves a target. It is not a matter of if but when an attack or intrusion will occur.

A while back we were able to access orion via an external facing F5...Thus I could access the environment via an ipad while being mobile. They eventually forced us to use VPN to access the tool remotely.

Well put Dez ! It will be interesting to see that becomes of the C-level and below management that failed to ensure things were in place. It will also be interesting to see what the SEC says and does about the stock sales...everything was way to suspect. It will also be interesting in what this does for the credit…

One thing about your Dev/DR environment...it is a good place from which to monitor your production SolarWinds environment. "Someone has to watch the watcher" might as well be you so you know if you have a problem. (Cheap insurance)

Nothing much up in the DFW area..although as Harvey comes back onshore and heads north, we shouldn't see huge amounts of rain...although Houston will be under the rain madness until Thursday or Friday. I know Austin area got a bunch of rain too...
