I agree with rschroeder, using military assets including network must be under security. There is no margin for error or introduction of malware/virus from a byod device or military device.

It seems that not only do "employees" and off shore design teams have access to ring video, but supposedly law enforcement has access as well even though supposedly only if the homeowner permits it. I saw an article recently about this issue and the fact the EULA and such says that is not the case. Too many companies…

Looks like this line of topics can use a central point in the product forum so we have a common place to see all the discovered features with legs and issues people are having. I'm not sure everyone will find it since it is in the announcements. Just an observation.

Extreme can be extremely annoying...hopefully they didn't pull SNMP out of their OS again like they did in the early 2000's. <facepalm>

I tend to agree...don't forget POC environments. Then there are the traveling techs who have to do product demo's...

Just look at the texting thing they (cell phones) started...now it seems many of the millennials can't listen or carry on a conversation as a result. They even have to have the subtitles rolling on everything they watch on TV or Netflix....ugh.

Couple that with a cheap light action rod and spinning reel made for hours of fun. Used to go fishing almost everyday after school except for rainy days and most of winter although the best catch was…

Well dang it... wabbott, you will certainly be missed. If any of the other Thwacksters have not had the opportunity to meet or work with you then it is certainly a loss for them. I will count myself lucky in that regard. Do take care and don't forget, Once a Thwackster, Always a Thwackster. You can visit still...well at…

We are on the potential cusp of such a venture. For most of the company it is pretty much a standard desktop set. Those in IT get a little more latitude but not quite a COYD. There have been rumors of BYOD...

I had to deal with something of the sort a few years back for PCI compliance related to the root password for 5000+ juniper 5GT vpn appliances. The proper application of some perl scripting, crpyt unix function, and a file with a unique string for each device produced a unique mixed case/number string for the password that…

very true statement there...then there are the ones that need to make a decision and stick with it instead of giving up every 3 months or so because they had a rough week or three. There is so much need for instant gratification these days and no patience to build up to where you have that life you want.
