Wow. That does sound complicated. Is there no regular APC SNMP trap to indicate when an UPS switches to battery? That would seem to be a pretty basic function.

I guess I should start over. What I am trying to do is set up an alert that fires when an APC UPS switches to battery power. I have tried but I guess I don't know what variables I need to look for. I'll start a new thread for this if it would help. Thanks. Steve
