  • I did, but you may not like it. I opened a ticket and that really didn't help me either. I rebuilt my poller from the ground up. That seemed to fix the issue. My recommendation would be to open a ticket. I'm sure that by now there is more data for them to work with regarding errors of this type.
  • What other modules do you have installed? I'm going back over my ESX issue and it seems that I may still have a problem and I think it may be related to other modules. I downloaded a demo on NPM and right out of the gate ESX monitoring is working flawlessly. Is there a database checker that can be run to validate the DB…
  • Great Post! I actually had to build out a new server to host the Solarwinds site to get around this issue. The folk working my case were really working at this issue from the wrong angle spending alot of time on file permissions and what not. I too would love an actual resolution to this issue.
  • No real solutions here, but I have had that same issue when running 8.51 using a non dedicated DB server and non dedicated front end/poller. My request for a dedicated server went unanswered when we purchased Solarwinds. It took about a year of this before I was able to get my hands on a couple of "hand me down" servers. I…
  • /bump I have a ticket opend for the same problem. If I find anything out I'll fill you in on the details.
  • When I mean any UnDP, I mean any I have tied items for UPS batteries to switch fan states. The all test fine, but display "No Data" or empty tables. This has never worked for me. Is there a way short of reinstalling that I can verify the the UnDP and or database?
  • I had the same issue. It started working after we had a maintenance window that required the ESX servers to be rebooted.
  • Ticket # 22171 has been opened for the above mentioned error. If a solution is found, I will post it here.
  • Could you list the specs for your poller and database server? Also from the about tab of NPM System Manager, list the number of nodes and interfaces you currently are running. I just crossed the 8000 mark on interfaces and this box is running at only 20% of CPU util. Do you think you may be hardware constrained or…
  • I was able to locate the dll myself. Much of the wmi monitoring can be accomplished via snmp.
  • The instructions that come with the 9.5 package should be sufficient. I was able to complete my upgrade from 9.1 to 9.5 in under an hour (That is with the NPM service shutdown bug). So far my team is pleased with the upgrade. Dare I say that it even seems faster on my hardware?
