Hi Will, Did you ever get a detailed response to your specific questions above? The Admin manuals in the 'Verified Answers' don't have much detail. Thanks, JC

Thanks for the response Dave. For what it's worth my polling issue rectified itself after a couple of reboots. I'm now noticing issues with views for non administrators throwing errors and also some people unable to 'unmanage' machines they could previously manage. . . .

Good question! I would also like to know how to add a new node without assigning a read/write community string. Did you ever get an answer to this?

This came good after a couple of reboots.

Hi Andrew, Do you know of many people that have used the method you're reffering to - In a FoE environment to only install/upgrade the active node as the FoE will replicate the changes to the passive node? I'm asking because some time ago we upgraded our version of NPM and NCM on the active primary node but the changes…

Thanks Netlogix! That puts my mind at ease. I have another question open - about automating the Web backup. I haven't had a response. Was hoping that you may have some experience with that also. ;) Thanks again, JC

Yeah it appears that way. How do I get an official answer from Solarwinds? Do they watch these forums and respond? Is there a known bugs list somewhere I can read and add to if required? It would be great to know what doesn't work before I spend hours creating a solution only to find the available function just doesn't…

Don't worry, found them on the Solarwinds webcast page, funnily enough . ..

Hi Dave, I just went through the upgrade and now my poller completion status says 0% (last database sync also isn't updateing) even though node data seems to be updating. What was the outcome of your polling issue? Cheers, JC
-
I've just completed the 10.3 upgrade and am also finding some dodgy polling behaviour. You can see below that the 'Last Database Update' is recent but the 'Last Database Sync' is blowing out and the 'Polling Completion' shows 0%. Which can't be right as I've checked a few nodes and they have up to date availability and…

We're in the same boat. We've had requests for one account to have access to all of one resource type and a few of another. For example the Network services Manager wants to see all of his network devices and a small handul of management servers. The Server Manager doesn't want the Network manager to be able to see any…

Hey, 5:00am my time is a little nasty. Do you know if this webcast series is available for download? Cheers, JC

Did you make any progress with this issue? Have support been any help at all?
