if you want to retain the output of both commands - show role all and show config - you need to create a separate config type. You can add the config type from NCM settings page on the web console. You will then need to add a line similar to the running config command in the device template <Command Name="showrole"…

There are out of the box reports for this (Last 7 days, This Month, Last Month). See the Last Month report below http://oriondemo.solarwinds.com/Orion/Report.aspx?Report=95th%20Percentile%20Traffic%20Rate%20-%20Last_Month&ReturnTo=aH…

You may want to move this to the Orion SDK forum
-
any screenshots to share?
-
Is the polling interval the same also?
-
Which command do you need to run on CDOT? It should be pretty easy to customize one, especially using this tool Speed-up the creation and maintenance of your NCM device templates!
-
Node Custom Properties It should be pretty obvious if you follow the wizards from the Settings , Manage custom properties page. There are also videos on these topics below Network Performance Monitor (NPM) Core Training - YouTube

See my comments here for the 2 common reasons why this would happen I see the alerts, but my rule doesn't fire

Have you turned on netflow on your ASA, and sending the flows to NTA? If so, you can create an IP group in NTA and run reports on the IP group. The netflow implementation is a little weird. So, you will need their implementation to be able to interpret the NTA reports correctly. There is a document on how Netflow on ASA…

I'm not sure it is good idea to spin up so many servers and lose the value of having all in a single platform? Have you determined what is inadequate on the existing server? Is it cpu, memory, disk io? Is the sql server on a different machine?
-
You will find windows accounts used for polling in 2 places - Settings > Manage Windows Credentials - Settings > SAM Settings > Credentials Library you may want to check both these locations to find the offending account
-
You will need to use a SQL macro to extract the information you need using a SQL query, as you figured out SQL Variable in advanced alerts If you attach the Alert definition, we can get to the bottom of why your SQL macro isn't working

Which version of NPM? It *should* be a straightforward task for a "Custom Table" resource. Simply click on the customize page link and add a Custom Table resource. For fancier reporting on custom pollers, see the detailed instructions I posted earlier Combine two UDPs on a line in a report
-
Did you try bouncing the Information Service?
-
Which windows event log specifically? Do you have a screenshot of your component monitor definition?
-
Correct. UnDP pollers use the node's SNMP settings
-
This will need some sort of fancy custom SQL alert. How many links are we talking about?
-
Have you tried re-running the configuration wizard?
-
Which version of NPM? Do you have any antivirus software on your NPM server? Did you launch the orion diagnostics tool and click on the 'active diagnostics'? Any red or yellow dots in there?
-
Check the definition of your 'Solarwinds SSH connection' profile. You should still be seeing the user name, port numbers even in the greyed out fields like below
-
Also, I don't see the need for 10 vCPUs on the NPM/SAM server. The DB server definitely could do with a few more vCPUs - 1 is too little. And, definitely, you will need to check the Polling Engines settings page to see where the polling throughput is at currently.

Under Settings, you will find a link for 'Manage Windows Credentials'. Under Settings > Virtualization Settings , you will find a link to manage all the VMware credentials. I don't believe there is a central place to see all UCS credentials.
-
there isnt any real way of doing it without upgrading the original one or start with the matching old version on the new server
-
carlos.ce, it is not possible at this time. you may want to vote on this idea

while its technically possible as you have rightly pointed out, nobody i know of pro-actively monitors desktops and laptops. i have heard of cases where some CX user machines being monitored pro-actlvely. Whats the management rationale for treating end user devices with the level of importances attached to servers? They…

If you click on the customize page link on this view, are there any view limitations defined for this view?
-
The best approach for this is to use Custom Properties. See details on how to achieve this in this discussion Re: Alerting on a group Only difference is that the alerting has now moved to the web, but the process remains the same
-
New nodes are detected based on what connectors you have turned on. If you have turned on a Cisco connector that is reading the facility4 logs, any new Cisco device that you add to the network and sending logs to LEM IP+Facility4 will be added automatically as a node. I am not aware of any way to block this behavior.

To add to what superfly99 replied, if you need to see this gauges for multiple interfaces in a Summary view, simply add 'Custom Object Resource's to your view. You can then edit the Custom object view to choose your interface.

Which version of NPM? Did you delete the reports you don't need from C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Reports? AFAIK, a Config Wizard doesn't restore the out of the box report list if already deleted from the above folder. When the web reporter was introduced, any legacy reports created would be automatically copied…
