Ah. I think available space is saved in bytes. And 12582912 is 12MB, not 12GB. That might be the issue?

I'm not finding LEM Agent in SAM's software inventory for my Linux node. Do you see see it in your list when you drill down to the Linux node, and in the Asset Inventory sub-view? I am not sure if only certain type of installed software is detected by net-SNMP

Can you post some screenshots to highlight the issue? I tried some filtering options here, and seems to be working as expected. NPM version is 11.5.2

And If you can click on List Resources for these 2 nodes, you have Layer2 and Layer3 topology boxes checked?

I believe it polls this OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.4.20.1.2 to get the list of configured IPs

If you are sure there is nothing blocking access from the Profiler Server to each of the DB instances that is not reporting information, then go ahead and grab diagnostics for any of the missing ones and open a support ticket. The logs would have to reviewed. You are right. Having an agent will not interfere with the…

The Alert in discussion was triggered because the trigger condition - VolumeResponding is equal to N - was met. However, the web console showed an 'Up' status for the volume as shown in your screenshot. The suggested SQL trigger will change status of the volume to Down when the VolumeResponding is equal to N (the…

If you have already confirmed with PA that there isn't a MIB available to show the equivalent of this command, the only solution that comes to mind is to use NCM (Network Configuration Manager). The process would roughly be - Define a new config type (say NAT from Settings, NCM Settings page) - Modify the device template…

If you drill down to the esx host and click on 'list resources' you should be seeing a 'hardware health' check box. Are you not seeing it?

Exactly why I said it wouldn't be easy from Windows. The mapped drives are visible for the user logged in, not the entire server. Without emulating an actual windows user session, you will not see the mapped drive. I suggest you work with your EMC NAS admin to enable NFS also on this share. EMC NAS allows mixed mode access…

When yoi use an event group, only the fields that are common to all of them are available for those advanced settings. Are you sure source ip is available for all the events in your event group?

It wouldn't be entirely automatic but what you can do is the following 1. create a new node custom property. 2. Create groups with dynamic queries using this custom properties 3. Use the import/export function of manage custom properties to update this custom property from your DS query output you *may* be able to automate…

The link I provided is for creating a device template, and does work with 7.x as well. But, it looks like you are looking for a configuration change template which is a different thing. The admin guide has an entire section dedicated to creating config change templates from scratch, and is really excellent. Take a look at…

If you go to build a report, choose Alert History as the data source, you should have access to the alert history and the custom property

Very impressive fruit ! The first time I have seen someone upload a video. so, you need to login as vorlov to the NCM web console (not via command line to the device as that user), and type the commands from CONFIGS tab, Configuration Management view, select the devices and click on 'Execute script'. whatever you typed…

That's the string to change. You can try a different string length. Change the word Query to say Query1

Obviously, the Windows Update agent thinks either the pre-requisites or the applicability rules don't apply to the machines in question. I am tempted to say - use the 'Windows Update Agent Maintenance and Repair' action for one of the affected managed computer to run a full repair and maintenance, and let the WU Agent…

The ip groups are in the SQL database. I didnt think the FSDB size would affect saving ip groups. Best to open a support ticket to figure out where things are aruck.

NTA still requires SQL, but all the flow records will be stored in the proprietary FSDB (Flow Storage DB). As mentioned in the FAQ, the upgrade will migrate the data from the SQL database to FSDB. After you upgrade, it will significantly reduce the demands on the SQL database in terms of RAM and storage size. Also, check…

ok great. please close out the discussion as Answered

If you customer allows you to, you can run a sample query on that database every x minutes using SAM's SQL User Experience Monitor. SAM will automatically compute both application and component availability anyway which can you use to report back as database availability. Edit any template or create a new one, click on Add…

Right. 10.1.x is a very old version (5 years old?). If you are NPM 10.2 or higher, you will see consistent polling. The gaps in your charts are because of missed polling.
-
Statistics Interval for a node is for the statistics collected for the node itself - things like CPU and Memory usage Statistics Interval for an interface is for the statistics collected for the interface - things like transmit bytes / sec, received bytes / sec, errors / sec, packets /sec, etc
-
only if you want to be able to get to the web console from the additional polling engine.

There is no restriction on using custom properties in report fields. Can you post a screenshot of your report which currently shows the Cust column along with the NewCust values?
