The new web based alerting allows you to define a secondary SMTP server. When the first one fails, it will use the second one. You will need NPM v11.5 to use this feature.

To the best of my knowledge, the agents do retain the connection to the LEM. So, dynamic IPs shouldn't be an issue.
-
You shouldn't have to do it 1 device at a time. You can select nodes in bulk.
-
If the UnDP Test reports the value 'healthy', then either the SNMP response itself was a string or you have selected the poller format to be 'Enumeration'. Either way, the property to match is already correct (Value is equal to Healthy) in your alert. the

Straight from HP documentation Percent data transfer time is the same as CPU %, except that it does not include time for any internal process that is not associated with a host initiated data transfer. Thus, it does not include background tasks such as sparing, leveling, Snapclone, Snapshot, remote mirror traffic, virtual…

Alert Management has moved to the web console in NPM v11.5 which was released yesterday

When you are at the wrench / spanner confighuration screen, click on each of the label for examples of what you need to input. Ensure that the IP address you enter is the IP of the Command View server. Once you click on the Test button, click on the traffic light icon, click on the SMI-S module name and post the last few…

Custom Table then. Add the node name and Availability columns. Availability is available in the 'packet loss and response time' category.
-
Can you export the entire alert definition from manage > alerts, and attach the alert definition?
-
because it is in the Nodes table that you are JOINing to

Nothing needs to be enabled on the solarwinds server to connect to an SMTP server for mail relay. It is sounding like a firewall or routing issue from the SolarWinds server.
-
If you try a simpler message like banner login ^Unauthorized access will be fully investigated and reported to the appropriate law enforcement agencies^ does it work fine?
-
The alert suppression should only affect that alert. If the alert did not return to a working state upon removing the suppression condition, did you try deleting and re-creating that alert instead? It should be much quicker than having to repair Core. Again, a screenshot of your Trigger condition will really help here.

To the best of my knowledge as suggested previously by superfly99, the only way to download to the filesystem is to run a job.
-
That should not be the case if you are running the latest version of NPM. In any case, you can open the advanced alert manager utility on the npm server, edit the node down alert and edit it's email trigger action. You can then insert ${Caption} variable in the subject and/or body of the email. You can also include other…

hi Troy, You *may* be able to prevent all ObjectAudit events from being stored in the database using the instructions available below SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Disabling Windows Filtering Platform Alerts Using Alert Distribution Policy Simply using ObjectAudit instead of Windows Security in the KB instructions This does…

I am not sure I am in a mood to go through a 12 MB zip file Can you provide specific lines from the log that you think are missing?

Fill out the form again to re-download the software. This time choose the 'Download the full offline installer' option.

I meant if you were to telnet manually from Putty, what is the prompt to enter to user name? NCM Win32 interface is most definitely there with NCM 6.1, and is part of the NCM installer. Simply browse via Windows start menu on the NCM server to locate it. You can find the Session Trace settings under File > Settings or…

Once you click on the Uninstall Software button as shown in the screencap, you will have the option to target that action to more computers and optionally define a schedule as well.

Sounds like you have run into a bug. I know that [dbo].[VIM_Hosts] has the master list of Physical hosts like ESX hosts & Hyper-V hosts, and [dbo].[VIM_PollingTasks] has the list of polling tasks for the VIM_Hosts. However, I am not sure simply deleting the entries in these tables for the NodeID in question will do the job…

there is no need to use Custom SQL. You can simply add a Custom Table resource to your Web Report with the following object selection and add the columns you need as report fields
-
that action doesnt email a url. It emails the output of a url

You may not have enabled SNMP then (see the guide on instructions to enable SNMP GET) The tool is very straightforward. Just fill in the community string and the IP address of your Nimble storage, and you should see the walk results. If that is not working, then either SNMP isn't configured properly, or there is an access…

If you add a resource that is not specific to this application, let's say 'custom html', edit the resource and add some text - does that show up correctly? tried another browser / from another machine already I suppose.

Short answer is no. Re-configuring the devices is the least disruptive way to control which devices get licensed.

This document should answer everything you need to know about setting up Oracle User Experience Monitors in SAM http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/apm/docs/Configuring_and_Integrating_Oracle.pdf

The custom property can be global@abc.com for all nodes except Brazil ones. For the Brazil ones, it can global@abc.com,brazilteam@abc.com

This can be done pretty easily in NPM's UnDP (universal device poller). Not sure if you own just NCM or also have NPM
