I submitted a Feature Request for this ages ago but nobody every voted for it. I agree, it makes it very difficult to track subnets for all your sites, especially if they have undergone a network segmentation and the old subnets are no longer required. This happens somewhat regularly in my organisation. Thanks HS

Does anyone else not want this feature added? Hesh

No unfortunately it doesn't, I just tried it. I get another large table of blank entries that serve no purpose. Maybe I need to log a support case? Hesh

Thank you, thank you! Much appreciated. Cheers Hesh

I concur with mfsadmin. I too would like to stop this from running as we are in the same situation. Thanks Hesh

The problem I have is using the chassId UDP means we get the Asset tag of the device as well as the serial number that we manually entered in on initial installation. This means I get this information by running a report I created that uses the "chassisID" UDP OID to supply the required information. I am trying to utilise…

It would seem that in previous versions of NPM, the "Discovery Central" would automatically find the new device, as per normal, and then allow you to allocate it to its relevant City/Department, etc. The new node was also automatically assigned the relevant poller that was in the default group.…

Hi Danielle, No, I have not logged a support case yet. Been really busy doing other things and have not had a chance. Matthew, I tried running that snmpwalk.exe file and I used the internal IP address it defaulted too (127.0.0.1) as it was running on the server itself and it provided a lot of information that in the end…

I too would like an answer regarding this function as I am also experiencing incorrect timings. I have switchports that have been in the "Down" state for several years (switch has been up for 4 years plus) and I have just administratively shut the ports down. The "Last Change" counter is stating its last change was back in…

I would also like to know how to perform this function so if there has been any new developments in the almost 2 years since this was posted, I would appreciate it. Thanks Hesh

Hi Tim, What if a reboot is not an option within the organisation in which you work and you are required to perform capacity management via port usage? How do you provide accurate switchport up/down usage statistics? This has become more of an issue nowadays hence the reason it has not posed too much of a problem to me in…
