Yup I think I understood that initial request. The user that logs into the device will always be the one specified in the device template/connection template. The history of performed commands can only be reviewed in NCM, not on the device itself any more.
-
I am inclined to say: nope this won’t work, as the creds are stored in the connection template for the device. However all user activity is logged and you will know in NCM who performed what. hope that helps

An Adventure Into Modern Dashboarding: Introduction to SWQL Studio Modern Dashboards https://github.com/the-ben-keen?tab=repositories from my experience, I was learning it best by tinkering around with it. i am not using the „Object Picker“ but build my queries in SWQL Studio first, then use the „Hand edit“ option and…

Modern dashboards work differently with the formatting. here's the query: SELECT n.Caption AS [Node Name] , n.Status , n.StatusDescription AS [Status Description] , n.DetailsURL AS [Node Details URL] , n.MachineType AS [Vendor Name] , n.VendorInfo.Icon AS [System Vendor Icon] , n.CPULoad AS [CPULoad] , n.ResponseTime AS…

The ciphers issue was fixed in 2024.1.1 . I am guessing that this is another issue. I would start a session trace and see what NCM is sending and receiving to/from the device to determine the cause.

Are the devices sending Syslog messages added to SolarWinds as nodes? other than that it is getting a tough one to support through the forum, trying to think of other possibilities causes…

Alright, so we figured out this is the "new" Logviewer. Now we need to check if the Services on the Solarwinds Server are running: The corresponding services is the "SolarWinds Log manager for Orion Syslog Service" . If this is running we need to check if there could be a "discard all" rule" or maybe a firewall rule…
-
I am assuming this is the "log viewer" you are talking about? You can also reach it from here:
-
2020.2.6 was the "last version" with the legacy syslog viewer tool. all this has been now moved to LogViewer/LogAnalyzer. Can you please share where you are expecting the syslogs to show up so we can confirm it's really the case of "Legacy Syslog viewer" vs "LogViewer/LogAnalyzer" cheers

We are also struggling with the InTune integration, at a client. We are a step further than yourself and have the connector set up, it seems to be connecting, but does not gather any InTune managed devices. Opened a Support case and hoping for a solution.

Ah I know where you are seeing this. Do you have any nodes polled by the APE? If not this is expected behavior. I personally do not pay attention to this metric any more. I personally only check this metric here
-
You don’t need more because you now can give yourself SAM admin Permission. As @"mesverrum" mentioned there is a dedicated SAM subsection below the screenshot you showed. Set your permissions accordingly
-
There is nothing you need to do to sync an APE. Can you share a screenshot where you are suspecting the out of sync issue?
-
I am assuming that you have perpetual licensing model. Or „module based“ licensing. Subscription is mostly HCO … although you could get all other modules on a subscription basis as well. But most module based licensing in my experience is perpetual
-
If you do not have a Subscription based license as @"Seashore" suggested, you might want to check changes in the network/firewall rules. The Polling engines need to communicate directly with the SQL Database AND the Main Polling engine. Also check for changed Passwords on SQL, you need to run ConfigWizard on ALL Pollers to…

You run a repeated inventory on all devices -> NCM Menu -> Jobs -> Check if nightly inventory is scheduled Then you can use @"donrobert5" 's Link to generate the NCM Inventory Report for Serial Numbers ----- Edit. Scratch that, just saw your Post that you only have HUAWEI Devices. In this case @"LeBeauUK" 's approach makes…

Do you only need it for network devices or also servers? Are all devices in NCM or is Hardware monitoring enabled on all devices? a lot of questions, but with the information you provided, I can only say: it depends. in principle it is possible, but there are certain requirements
-
Whooo… SL2000 is 2000 interfaces or volumes. An SL2000 for 2000 nodes is most likely not to cut it
-
Trying to exactly replicate dashboards from other monitoring solutions is most likely bound to fail in my past experience. First you need to have the datapoints in the SolarWinds platform. once you have it monitored somewhere, you then can see how to visualise it. as the data is stored in the database you can query it…

The native SWSD MS teams integration is only for creating new tickets, it basically acts as another fronted for the swsd website. if you want to notify upon creating a ticket, my best guess would be an automation rule, I am not sure if you can have a REST/API call to Microsoft Teams as an automation action. cheers
-
Are you "behind" a ZSCALER Proxy? if so I haven't been able to upload diags as well and I think there is no solution for this except to try from a different connection
-
Thanks @"KMSigma.SWI" I have my „Thwacktivity“ from the mobile mostly lately, so providing screenshots can take some time for me. Appreciate you jumping on to this.

This is the SWQL Studio. It comes with the SDK install on a Windows machine.
-
There is a verb Create container with parent, where you pass the container ID of the Group you want to nest your new group into.

to add to an old thread. the 48.000 element limit is for "automatic stacking" with HCO license. The 10.000/12.000 elements count (in my opinion elements is the same wording as component but I am open to be proven wrong) is for a single polling engine. As you can "stack" up to 4 Pollers per Windows Server you multiply those…

Hey Askar, reach out to me on our internal teams chat

I am assuming that the exchange methods provided by the server do not match those of ftp voyager. I have not heard of a newer release than the 16.2 from 2015ish, so I am guessing the key exchange algorithms are outdated.

Is SW138 the controller or the SolarWinds box? can you share screenshots how you are adding the NetApp? thanks
