Are you using the workstation agent on those machines, and do you have FIM activated on those. might be possible to capture write sessions onto a CD-Drive and alert on this, but I have not looked too deep into this yet.
-
I am pretty sure there is no native way to do this, so you need to get creative. It pretty much goes into a direction that you already went by checking "can I utilize the processes started by the tool" to check that. SEM is pretty much an "aggregation for all sort of logs/info" the applications and monitored devices need…

To avoid the situation in the future: create a group in Active Directory and replicate the configuration to the group. This way you just have to change AD not Solarwinds. Most Dashboards/Views are shareable so those can just be applied to the AD group
-
just an Idea, if you do not care about cached and shared memory monitoring, you can uncheck those in the list resources feature. I am nowhere near a Linux expert, however I think this is the SWAP partition and some things that Linux mostly always reports as 100% utilization
-
however this is for SWO (SaaS Monitoring) not the SolarWinds platform (HCO)
-
try using Port 17774 instead of Port 17778
-
Is some other tool blocking the Ports for TFTP? maybe another TFTP solution installed for trial purposes?
-
This looks like a custom table widget, try using a custom Query widget. hope that helps
-
can you share your query that makes up your report? I am guessing you need a floating value in the data, where you probably have a string value with the „%“ concatenated. If you remove the „%“ sign it should work.

The tool used here is aimed as a „promotion for ARM“, just like other free tools have the purpose to promote specific paid tools. However the free tools can be used for a specific task without any charge and in this case it is used to create AD users from a CSV file.
-
@"tobyw_loop1" the AD importer does that. It’s basically a free sample to get you interested in ARM where some more automation is possible. It is a start for the employee/student onboarding process in ARM. @"socriere-" did everything correctly and as intended with the free tool.
-
@"mesverrum" if it ever comes to this, we can do a round of rock, paper, scissors who will do the coding
-
To echo @"jklundy" here: we need more info on the task. I would see that you can ingest monitoring data from Site24x7 via the API into SolarWinds, as it seems to be a saas Solution, I would see it easier to pull info from the SWI side, than to push info from 24x7. I would start creating a ICMP/Externa, Node for…
-
Yes sir, that would be correct.
-
are you using Agent initiated polling or server initiated polling? The Agent usually has a list of all polling engines in the registry and will be updated to switch to the corresponding Poller by any Solarwinds machine. As long as the Network Connectivity is given, there should be no issue moving agent based machines from…

Key is not to reply to those threads. By replying, you make them more „prominent“ on the platform. Report as abusive and when enough people are reporting it, it’s easier to block.
-
that’s modern society’s struggle, right? Expecting simple answers to complex concepts.
-
VolumeTypeID = 4 was it for me, because "Eingebauter Datenträger" OR "fixed disk" was too much for my german SWI installation ;) -- Always aim for IDs not for 'labels"
-
this is something you might want to look at (+) Dark Theme In a Day - THWACK Community Discussions - Command Central - THWACK (solarwinds.com)
-
there are some "workarounds" for this, but it's nothing that is supported by solarwinds, nor will it stay in place when you run config wizard (the wizard will overwrite your changes). Best Chance is to make your Browser switch to dark mode. There are some add-ons in chrome/firefox that will do this for you.

Once you have a valid certificate installed on your SolarWinds Server (MPE or AWE) you can then bind this certificate through IIS-Manager to the SolarWinds NetPerfMon website and you should be good to go. you will need to access the site through the URL you specified in the SAN part of the certificate.
-
Just like @"Sriram_1" Mentioned, JMX is only used for SAM. you can ignore it
-
are you referring to the certificate error? From your screenshot you are already accessing the URL via HTTPS You need a proper certificate that has your URL as a subject alternative and is trusted by your org/computer. This is not something Solarwinds can do, but you need to figure out via IIS.
-
Are you running your SolarWinds environment in FIPS Mode? JMX would then be disabled. If you do not have any SAM Monitors that have JMX Templates you can ignore JMX Bridge not running. WPM is not included in HCO License but installed. As long as you don’t have a WPM License, these services are expected to be stopped.
-
This looks like you already have Solarwinds installed on this machine and you are trying to install something with an older version of the installer. Just like @"osvict" mentioned. what are you trying to accomplish? add another „module“?
-
There's also great content in the SolarWinds academy. Log in to your customer portal: https://customerportal.solarwinds.com and check the Academy
-
On another note, from reading all your posts, you might want to look into getting some training for SolarWinds in the SWI academy or involve a 3rd party with expertise in the product. There are some solid companies out there that will assist. *shameless self promotion off* sales (at) loop1 (dot) com

This. Look at your reset conditions, most of the times this is the issue. Also try clear the active instances, if the alert fires again, you know someone only claims that it’s resolved but actually it is not.
-
Flow sources are configured directly on your Routers/Switches/Firewalls. SolarWinds is just receiving flows it is not actively polling this info. you need to get in touch with your network team and have them configure the devices properly. cheers
