 We re-ran the Config Wizard, which actually took some doing because of some database security issues with our SQL Server, but once we got through that, the services correctly loaded and are running. So we're all set.

You could use the File > Import Device capability to get these devices into Cirrus initially. So before I did a File > Import Device I did an Export to CSV of an existing device, to get some idea of what I can populate easily. I've seen a similar effect with lower-speed interfaces where it's clearly not a 32-bit vs 64-bit issue -- in my case it was DS-1's combined into a multilink, and the sum of the individual interfaces was not exactly the same as the overlying multilink. I also thought it was attributable to asynchronous polling.

Bump. Has this sorting issue been fixed in v5? 

 Thanks for your prompt response. The Orion NCM Polling Service is not only not running, it doesn't show up in the list of services at all. Did we do the upgrade incorrectly? Also, since you mention inventory, is it customary for inventory to take nearly an hour per device? That's about what it seems like to me.

 I guess you can't be explicit enough when you post. I thought I was clear; I guess I was wrong. I know you can use SSH and/or Telnet and/or SNMP. In this case I have *no* network reachability from the Cirrus box to the switches in question. That's why I wanted to know about *manually* adding them to the database.
