  • No, I havent gotten anywhere. We opened a TAC case and their end response in summary was, we dont have any way for you to do this. Jim
  • I was able to use the Universal Device Poller ap, using the test function, and was able to get some data back (Not sure if it is what my voice guy is looking for. I was using the OIDs that you provided. However, when I try to associate that with a device I get an error that says it cannot reach the job scheduler after 3…
  • Yep, and I am at that point. Just not sure how to get the calculations i need. I know how to calculate it, but i dont know how to format my SQL statements to calculate it OR if there is already something built in that will get those numbers for me.
  • If I could bother the community just a little futher. :) I almost have something that will work as well. First I used custom properties to identify which interfaces are primary and which are backups. Then I created a report to show how much traffic passed a through each interface. The total of those two should be the total…
  • Exactly! I would be very interested in your weekly report too. I dont have a problem point our RAS to the Orion syslog server to get the results and i would assume i would have to change some of the parameters in your report. At the end of the day, if I could identify (previous 30 days if possible) that a node was on dial…
  • 9.5 SP4, but I should have updated my comment. It took about four or five hours, but it DID eventually update the tooltip information. Really like this addition to be able to add tooltips and put information in there that saves us time. The delay might be a polling time issue or something, not sure.. works good enough for…
  • Hey NG Thanks for the response. Actually the problem is that it does ping regardless of interface type. For example. I am monitoring a node for up/down and most of the month it is up. I want a report to show me how often it is down, but the problem is that when the node goes to dial backup, Orion still sees the node as up.…
  • Excellent! It did help. Thank you
  • Is there any update on using Orion or VoIP Monitor to monitor channel usage on voice gateways using Cisco2851 as the gateways?
  • That is correct to both questiosn. In fact, in the settings screen under "Manual Config", all six paths exist and show "Active" as its status.
  • CUCM
  • I have my tooltips displaying the Location and the service provider through the contact field, by using the SNMP varibles in the router. Works great until the location changes and I update the snmp values on the routers. It changes in the nodes table but the tooltip doesnt seem to get the new information. Any thoughts? Jim
  • If I am logging up/down dial backup messages to the Orion syslog server, can I change this to look at that instead of the event log?
  • The query below calculates downtime in minutes based on the Event table. You can update the where statements to look at the particular events that you need. This will give you results in minutes. You can calculate this into a percentage once you have the data. I did percentages first but was then asked for actual minutes…
  • After messing with this script for a bit, I have come to realize that it isnt going to get the data that I am looking for. The problem is that our particular server is too unstable and so it doesnt always send and alert or log a problem. The data that came out was inconsistant. I was wondering if one of you SQL gurus could…
  • Thanks Lnavin, I think that might work very well. However I need to pull out my newbie card and admit that I dont know where to use that statement. I tried to open report writer and type it into the SQL box but it does not seem to allow that. I opened APM (since we spoke of it earlier) but I could not find mention of…
  • Yes sir. Latest SP too. We'll get it logged. Thank you
  • Is it possible that VoIP Monitor is only supported in situation where the router was set up using the IP SLA commands? One my one node where I had to use the "rtr" commands, it appears to be running but from Orions point of view I get an event that says: Error "Specified operation does not exist on the router." occurred…
  • I did some googling and answered my own question. However, I do not see the CCM in the MIBs. I am not certain I am doing it right.. but I know where to look now.. and its not there. I am not sure what that means though.
  • I am happy to hear this. Ours does the same but in our case we are making the map larger. When I do, we notice that the "hotspots" for the icons are in a different spot on the map than the icon. I am assuming this is what you say will be fixed in the next release. Sounds like the same problem anyway. Thanks Jim
  • I am a liar. I guess I didnt try unchecking individual interfaces, but I thought I had. Regardless, that cured the problem. This said, I think its a pretty shoddy interface. I do remember when I clicked the node checkbox, it didnt uncheck anything the first time, and so I manually unchecked them. But I only did that to…
  • Hey Michael.. I dont remember the exact situation but a couple weeks ago I was fixing some links that were broken after the move to 9.5 and I had to eventually find the http link for that node. It was originally set for logical page but when that was selected it would go to a "page not found" type page. I'll see if I can…
  • Turns out I got your message and one regarding my open ticket about the same time, with this answer. The server and my desktop had become about 7 mins apart and apparently they can be no more than 5 mins apart. I adjusted my time on the desktop and it works terrificly. Thanks Jim
  • Allison I have not opened a TT on this one yet. I'll try to do that soon. Jim
  • Call Paths: #1 cisco 2620XM - c2600-ik9s-mz.122-46.bin #2 Cisco 2851 - c2800nm-ipvoicek9-mz.124-15.t1.bin #3 2851 - c2800nm-ipvoicek9-mz.124-15.t1.bin I am not sure if I am going about this correctly but essentially I am creating a two way conversation between all three devices. So, I end up with six call paths. #1 to #2 I…
  • We do have APM. I am not so familiar with it but I will definately look into this. The UnDP does cause an event, I believe. If not, I can make it so. Whether on the primary circuit or the backup circuit, all the interfaces show up. Not completely sure I understand why this is so with the backup interface, its a standard…
  • You are having me walk on the very edge of my knowledge. LOL Can I search for CCM in the MIB table? If so, it says its not there. I am very unfamiliar with this area though.
  • I opened a very similar ticket with SW and yesterday was told that SP3 will address the sorting in the browser issue. I am on SP2 as well. They were able to duplicate the problem. Jim
  • Found another, what I would consider, bug in the way report writer works. I still have the original problem, FWIW. Now, I have created a report that counts the number of times that a location has gone to dialbackup. I have tried to sort the location by node name. When I am remoted into the Orion box the name appear sorted,…
